I am having the hardest time getting through to vote for Marissa.
I guess that's a good thing

The judges were too hard on her, especially Carrie Ann, who seemed even angry, what she said to Tony wasn't right, that he was putting Marissa down, he wasn't, what a thing to say.
Sometimes they are harder on one person than others, if they think the person is capable of more. It never seems fair to me. I actually couldn't believe how harsh they were with her tonight, all 3 of them, it surprised me. And I have to admit, maybe Tony isn't the best choreographer either.
I agree, I thought the judges were very harsh on her. My heart went out to her as they were giving their comments. I hope she doesn't get voted off tonight. She has a lot of potential and I really think she can go far.
Regarding the shout-out to Hairspray, I noticed a split-second of choreography in Marissa and Tony's jive that came from "You Can't Stop the Beat". Particularly, where the arms go up and down twice.
Watching her section again I have to say, the sad look on her face looked as if she was about to just throw in he towel and leave the show. If she's not voted off tonight, I wouldn't be surprised if she became the first 'star' to walk off the show.

She did look crushed, but she's a trouper and will probably bounce back in the morning (she must be strong or she wouldn't have come this far in life already). I don't get it why all 3 judges were so hard on her. Almost like they had a planned strategy. Maybe someone talked to her afterwards to soften it.
I don't think she'll be voted off, she's too likable, there are others probably with less fans voting for them. Fingers crossed.
I take their harsh comments as, "this girl isn't good for ratings, we have to get her off the show." This is just me speculating, as I thought the judges comments to her were unfairly harsh, especially with that unfunny comedian in the mix.
She's 'likable'? I beg to differ. In my office staff of about 20 people, 15 of them watch DANCING WITH THE STARS and all of them can't stand her. They find her annoying and her perky persona irritating along with her frozen 'fake' teeth grin. ALL of them want her off the show already and find her 'fake'. The all feel there's nothing 'real' about her.
I think the only ones voting for her are the girls who are inspired by her and the HAIRSPRAY/Broadway fans, which unfortunately, fall under the vast minority.
Again... I AM voting for her myself, but reality is reality, folks.
Sorry, Marissa. You just don't come across well on the show. That over-the-top persona works on stage -- not on an intimate TV screen.
It's the same in my office. There are about 12 of us and we all watch the show. Nobody likes her but do agree the judges were somewhat harsh with her last night.

Oh, that's too bad. To me, she's likable. More so than Priscilla Presley, whom the judges seem to adore beyond what is reasonable.

Yeah, I thought they were too harsh on her last night too, and I usually am a horrible critiquer too. I think part of the problem is that the music was at a slower tempo, so they looked like it was too slow, but they were with the music tempo, so that should count for something.
If Adam is staying, then Marissa might be the one to be eliminated!
I hope she can stay, though.

Adam didn't even dance last night - he should be eliminated for that alone. Seriously - forget about Marissa and so many others - but Adam got praise last night for doing nada. Clearly they are judging each person using different "rules"
MARISSA'S SAFE!!!!! :)
Yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!
So that means Steve Guttenberg, Cristián de la Fuente, Marlee Matlin, Shannon Elizabeth, Mario, and Jason Taylor are still left! :[

What is up with Tony not even being a little supportive during those testimonials? He sat there with his head down looking miserable. Way to be a great coach, Tony!
YAY!!! I'm so happy for her!!
However, I KNOW that people are going to give her **** about her confessional, when she said she was shocked but was still smiling! lol But I understand...
Adam C. backstage - whoa.
With Adam and Marissa safe who do you guys think will go home?
Gosh, I hope Guttenberg stays. He's just so fun
I hope the Gute stays, too....
Oh and the "hobbies" bit? Hilarious!
Doesnt this dance on now remind you of the opening of The Color Purple?
"However, I KNOW that people are going to give her **** about her confessional, when she said she was shocked but was still smiling!"
Well, one of them had to be positive. It certainly wasn't Tony.
I think Tony was just shocked and didn't want to say something about the judges that he would regret. The man has a temper!
And UGH - how contrived was that matchmaker?? Disgusting.
Now with Marlee and Jason safe I'm worried about Gute
Christian and Shannon are safe now as well.
Oh, Gute...
And Gute goes home. Sad!
