Just because someone has an album does not mean they can sing. For example Brian Spears

I wish Vanessa was doing Sandy but I'll be glad to hear her rendition of There Are Worse Things I Could Do. She's improved a lot since high school musical.

A pretty blonde is what people think of for Sandy.  I remember the Grease reality show where they were debating over whether or not the audience would buy a brunette Sandy.  This is the thought that went into that decision.  We'll see...

The original Broadway Sandy wasn't blonde, Carole Demas had brown hair.

Yes, but most people associate the role with Olivia Newton John.  Since then, people assume Sandy is blonde.  Rizzo is a darker character, so darker hair.

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm ecstatic Carly Rae Jepsen is in this. Although I wish Frenchy sang more than a couple little solos, I think this is the perfect part for her and can't wait to see what she'll bring.

A friend of mine just worked with Eve "Jan Brady" Plumb, and that she told him she will be playing a teacher in this.

The only person that seems really well cast is Ana Gasteyer. I'm thinking this is going to be a hate-watch.

What's taking them so long to cast the rest of the parts? When is the rest of the cast being announced? Don't they have to start rehearsing? 

I feel like there are so many other characters to cast and the show is about a month and a half away. It will be interesting to watch, I don't agree with some of the casting. Grease is my favorite musical movie so I hope between the casting and the way it is produced it doesn't get ruined.

pRETTY sure they've already started rehearsals on this, actually. Also Julianne can sing for those who doubt it. Not the most beautiful voice ever but good. She can sing.

Why are they blatantly copying the movie's hair and costumes? I get there's only so much you can do with jeans, a tshirt, and leather jacket, but c'mon...
