A muscial? It would work much better in a faux-Greek tragedy setting. And the little penguin could gouge out his eyes after discovering his heart song only attracted his mother.
Now that's some good theatre!

Thank god this is hypothetical! I read the title and said "Oh Lord, what next?".
Everyone I know seemed to love the film.
I detested it. The animation was all out of sync with the tapping, the sounds were rubbish, the whole concept was crap, it jumped here and there and left things unexplained, it was awful.
But my family and friends would say "But of course you'd like it, you like musicals!"
I often get that response. People for some reason presume that because you like a certain medium, you like everything that's ever happened in it.
In a word, NO.
The rain we knew is a thing of the past -
deep-delving, dark, deliberate you would say
browsing on spire and bogland; but today
our sky-blue slates are steaming in the sun,
our yachts tinkling and dancing in the bay
like racehorses. We contemplate at last
shining windows, a future forbidden to no one.
