When the guy called me from LA he said soemthing about me sending in another tape since I live so far away and I am currently in nursing school. So I guess they are getting tapes from people they like so they dont have to swamp the LA office. I was wondering about the age too, I'm 23, but you wouldnt know it by the way I look. I get carded all the time, for drinks, R-rated movies and even for voting! They didnt believe I was 18!!

Anyway, Hopefully after the Easter holidays are over there will be something happening and some choices being made!

Just finished Tape #2 for Link!! (I got the call a few days ago, and didn't want to make a tape and then get advice on the board so I'd feel regret that "I didn't do this" or "I didn't do that" or anything.) On it, I sing the first part from "Without Love", and acted the sides they e-mailed to me, which are from a Corny Collins scene ("Amber, one day I'll be up there on TV without any Corny Collins to my name, and I'll let the whole world know we're together!"). I don't remember that line from the show, but it was definitely in my side! :) Fingers are crossed! Though, again, I don't want to be Link -- and I highly doubt I'll get it, because I don't look like a Link. But hey, the more tapes they ask for, the more I'll send them in!

A portion. Oh gosh, if that was it, that'd be the worst side ever. No, the scene was Link talking to Amber during, I assume, a commercial break? There's a similar scene in the show, so I had some sort of reference in the back of my head. Hope that makes sense.

does anyone know when they are going to start Rehersals for this Shing-dig??? Mid summer?????? I googled hairspray production dates and got many an anwser.

Well movies are done a little different than stage.For instance a script is say 100 scenes 6 are in the kitchen 20 are on the street in front of park. 15 in the drug store etc. Even though they are scattered all over the script it is governed by where they set up they will do all the scenes at once than it is edited in the correct order. So what you rehearse is what yopu shoot a few days or a week from now. If you want to see good movie scripts go to www.weeklyscript.com click on movies and enjoy. First thing you'll notice the format is different than a stage format.

right but if they were to start shooting in Sept. then they would have to start rehersing at some point in this, to do all the dance numbers/learn music ect. even if they weren't shooting those scenes untill sept.

I got a call back when I auditioned in Toronto, does anyone know when we will hear if we get another call back, or how this works? This is the first movie that I have ever auditioned for.

They're figuring everythingis set for between may 1 and may 15. Wait wait wait . Yes Hannameazie probably the dance rehearsals will start end of August all those selected will have scripts probably by mid July. study time. Movies are very slow and there is much standing around.Don't worry you'll have full schedules by end june.

I was called by the casting director after he had seen a picture of me. We then sent him my resume. He called me and said my look was just right for Tracy.He didn't know what I sounded like or anything like that. I was totally shocked! I went to the Baltimore callbacks. I saw some other girls who looked like the part but others were just to darn small! HA! I think my actual question is when will they let me know if i am in?? Is anyone else having this problem!?! *UGH!

oh my lovely ladies - I haven't been on here in ages between all these rehearsals lately...

I say, we all vow to go to the nyc premiere of this movie if one of us on here gets it - we'll have a lil fan club of support for whomever the lucky gal is!

I think it'd be a blast!

Adn if you get it, you have to promise to keep us all updated on here!

Good morning everyone,
From what I have been reading and hearing, it seems that every casting director has told someone that she is perfect for the role of Tracy. I am wondering if that is just their way of trying to keep us calm.....or hopeful. I guess the best thing to do, is just keep a positive attitude and wish each other good luck. So Good Luck everybody!
