What a glorious way for Lin Miranda to reopen Hamilton at the Jones Beach Theatre this summer. It's in the open air too and it will bring back the musical to Jones Beach too. What do you think?
Maybe it should be more obvious in your subject line that you're brainstorming here.
Like all the other highly successful shows that closed in March, Hamilton will re-open at the Rodgers Theatre when it's safe.

I know this is a joke, but Elphaba would end up melting once she touched the water...

And Music Man is moving to a site-specific production in Iowa so that Beetlejuice can stay at the Winter Garden.

How I wish the Jones Beach Theater would revert to presenting book musicals! I have wonderful memories of shows like THE SOUND OF MUSIC, AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 DAYS and SOUTH PACIFIC being done there--and those 80 foot waterfalls on either side of the back stage were glorious when they were put into action!
I always said that FANNY would be the perfect show for that venue.

No she wouldn’t, since the musical cheated and made her water allergy take so they could have a happy ending
Serious question though: I wonder if the Public has thought about using the Delecorte? I mean it's outside, and you could socially distance? Maybe start with a one-man show sort of thing?
