The way algorithms work, if you are clicking on a lot of musical theater links, he's probably going to show up in your feed because--wait for it--his content is amost entirelyabout musical theater. Doens't seem self-inflated to me. He loves talking about this, so he does. ."
I know about "algorithms". But that full of himself moron is way over-represented on my Youtube even though I've long stopped watching him. Watched him exactly twice, both times not to the end. It's not like he posts 10% of all Musical Theater content on YT. Something's wrong with the algorithms, thus my question.
You could have roughly figured that out yourself instead of going on a bizarre tangent about Alex DeLarge.

If you're going to whine about something shoved in your face all the time, as if an act of violence if being perpetrated on you, I think you've earned an Alex DeLarge analogy.

Lamest comeback attempt I've seen In a while.
I didn't whine.
You didn't give an "analogy".
It was a bizarre tangent.
It made wonder what goes on in your head.
And again, any normal person could have figured out what I was talking about and why. And that I didn't really expect an answer.

Funny you said this. When I saw Funny Girl with Lea was the first time I noticed that type of breathing before a big note. Now I see it all the time. It must be a way of getting better air into you lungs ...and is much less noticeable than drawing in with an open mouth

Yes he inhales through his nose and then his eyes bug out. His voice is unreal...so great but I cant watch him because he puts his chin into his neck and his eyes bug out like he is going to have a seizure . I know it must make him sound as great as he does but I find it so distracting for some reason..(stupidly but I do lol so dont start attacking me lol)

You can actually see her do this at the end of her performance of DROMP at the Tony's. Good closeup of the technique.

What the hell are you talking about. People should be inhaling through their nose and exhaling through their mouth. That's medical science.
- It filters toxins: The hairs inside your nose (cilia), act as a natural filtration system, preventing allergens, dust and pollen from entering the lungs. With mouth breathing, everything you inhale goes straight to your lungs.
- It humidifies the air: Your nasal passages moisturize and warm the air you inhale. When the air that comes in is closer to body temperature, it’s easier for your lungs to use.
- It produces nitric oxide: Breathing through your nose, also called nasal breathing, releases nitric oxide (NO). That nitric oxide helps widen your blood vessels and makes it easier for nutrient-rich oxygenated blood to reach all of your body’s organs and tissues.

Great please get ready to correct every person you speak to from now on. I guarantee most people don’t inhale via the nose when in casual conversation.
And if we aren’t meant to inhale through the mouth, why is it possible?

As an accredited vocal coach:
Some performers find it helpful to breath through their noses.
Some performers find it helpful to breath through their mouths.
Neither makes a huge long-term difference re: sustainability, agility, or stamina.
Neither makes a huge difference for the average audience member (but that is of course just my opinion).
What is more comfortable and workable for the singer is usually the better option.
My two cents.

Sometimes the nose become fully congested due to allergy or infection, and breathing through the mouth allows us to avoid death by asphyxiation. It's still better to breathe through the nose when possible, for all the reasons given above, as well as for oral health. It's especially important to be in the habit of breathing through your nose while sleeping.

Is this why "mouth breathers” became a derogatory term?
