I was just looking for several dates in August and the entire orchestra is $399. Oh well-Im gonna pass on that show.
Ditto. It is beyond ridiculous but really I do not care anymore .
Don't worry about building new audiences as they will not be able to afford it.
Only way now is to win the lotto, or get there at 6am and do standing room
If they are going to sell them I would rather the money go to the producers than scalpers. However, this can't be good for Broadway long-term. Like Book of Mormon, I doubt people paying $400 will want to or afford to see multiple shows.
Bingo
Give that person the gold ring.
they aren't all 400. (I think anything in the center is, however)
A few hours ago, I got a Hedwig ticket for under 200 including fees. Yes that is the most I've ever paid for a ticket, but I made the decision that I didn't want to miss it.
dramamama-I chose several dates in August and all the orchestra seats left (including sides) were $399

Roxy said from the very beginning he had no interest in Mr. Harris or his Inch. Soooooooo, to hear him bitching now, when ANYBODY could have gotten orchestra tickets for lower prices if they were smart enough to get on it early enough, is just so much old man yelling at the kids blather.
When I searched, I turned OFF the possibility of premium seats. I can't imagine they raised the priced since 730 tonight.
@ dramamama611 - where are you sitting?
Namo-I dont live in NYC so I didn't know when I could get into the city to see the show.
Row M Orch, to the far side
Enjoy the show! I have NEVER liked anything that i have ever seen NPH do- but i thought that missing this would be a huge mistake. hopefully this will make me see what everyone else seems to see in him and love about him.
Take note folks-don't necessarily hunt for more affordable ORCHESTRA seats. I sat in second row MEZZ and it was perfect. In our usher's point of view we had the best seats in the house. Just a little headsup!
Jane-Id happily take mezz. It looks like mezz is sold out for most of the run.

Betty, my point was about Roxy. I empathize with your schedule issue. I lucked out with my schedule and that show.
With NPH winning, tickets will now be $500 each.
Namo
Mrs R wanted to see it. After seeing the performance and hearing about the prices, her interest went out the window .
I never had any interest even before it opened. Never assume - you know the rest
Betty-oy. I didn't realize those tickets were sold out. The whole problem is the limited run issue. That's probably the reason for the $400 seats. They figure that those people who want to see it with NPH will pay it. I'm curious to see what happens with their prices IF and WHEN the show extends with a different star.
Remaining tickets just went up :)
