Have they upped the age since JCM played her- seeing as he is just now 51 and played the role when he was 39.
- I mean, Makeup dose wonders to make a person look younger or older, But agree that those two are too young. But then...
I checked online and it looks like the show is completely sold out except for premium seats.

Phyllis, they haven't said anything, I just assumed Harris is playing a Hedwig in her 50s.

Regular seats become available, usually the end seats on the sides in the orchestra, but you have to be there when they get released, as they disappear quickly. Also, if there are four premium seats, and someone buys three, the fourth seat will be regular price for a bit after that, although it will become premium again at some point.
But it is a matter of luck and timing now...
I get the frustration of people who don't have tickets yet- but I'm not one of them thank God!!! LOL
I have seen a whole bunch of people on Facebook bitching about how they can't afford or get tickets to Hedwig now- I mean what did they expect? you snooze, you lose- in this case slow and steady doesn't necessarily win the race. LOL
Got my second pair of tickets (for August 8th) last week. They're not ideal--the two farthest-left seats in Orchestra row D--but MAN am I glad I went for it. When I checked again two days later, the only tickets left were premium, and they weren't much better than the ones I bought anyway.

I don't understand why people are freaking out. Lottery tickets and SRO tickets are still available. Yes, it is not perfect. But it is am option. You want tickets, do the time on the line.

Odd situation...
When I booked a ticket for early June (booked it on the afternoon of opening night), there was a decent choice of seats in orchestra (mostly on side) or mezz (did not check for balcony). Orch seat B6 was listed as "PV" (partial view) and was selling for $97. Now, I see seat B8 is available for a random July date that I checked and it is listed at $350 with no notation of partial view.
For those who are just now trying to book tickets, it sucks that they are only selling at $350 for less than premium seats. But, if you really wanted to see it, there were tickets to be had when it was a relatively unknown commodity. For someone like me who saw the original with JCM, I HAD to be there for its B'way bow and am happy I did not get victimized by the greediness of what is now a HOT commodity.
I wonder if t would still be such a HOT ticket if JCM (who could STILL play this role) comes in as the replacement.

"Patrick Wilson?"
Oh my christ dear lord baby jesus son of god the almighty in heaven with all of the archangels and mary the blessed mother and all the heavenly hosts for the love of all that is holy dear god up above, no.
Supply and demand. Plain and simple.
Oh, oh, I second Ewan McGregor!!
^Exactly. I doubt there are more than 20-30 seats (if that) left for each of the remaining performances. Given that information, there is literally no way for the production to capitalize on its Tony wins other than elevating these seats to premium prices. I can't fault them for that. Ceasing to notate which seats are or may be partial view is another story though.
I'd love to see Jake Shears in the role.
Mister Matt, that is probably the BEST replacement suggestion I have heard.
@ClydeBarrow -Why? What's your problem?
$400 that's disgusting they won't get it if people refuse to pay it. I just saw it, I love the show and I can honestly say this was my least favorite production. I give NPH a lot of credit, I didn't think he had it in him but I have seen many better Hedwigs (JC Mitchell, Michael Cerveris, Matt McGrath ) I thought a lot of the pacing and song tempos were slow. Def NOT worth $400. You know they will film it so I hope people REFUSE to pay that!!'
The show is so good on its own. Wouldn't mind one bit if a non name steps into the role if they're good.
Many of those tickets WILL be sold at that ourtrageous price. Some will be reduced back down, POSSIBLY down to a regular full price ticket. I doubt there will be many, however.
I never understand getting upset over these things. Value is in the eye of the beholder. Personally, I can't imagine ANY show/performer being worth that kind of money. If its too much for you, don't pay it. Kind of the reason I don't own a Mercedes Benz.

You and Roxy should organize a movement of refuseniks. It will take time and dedication, but change takes time. Good luck, I know you two can get out there and do something about it rather than just bitching on a message board. #BeTheChangeYouWantToSeeInTheWorld
Quick check just showed "regular" price (not premium) tix available for Friday night, and Sat @ 7PM-
Finding Namo you are the exact reason I rarely post on these boards, the bitter bitchy nature of too many on here. I think this is the exact place to vent about such theater matters. BTW I think Adam Lambert would be a amazing Hedwig!!! Great call.
