How is Bette Midler's Attendance in HELLO, DOLLY?

100% so far.
Also, enjoy! This is one of my favorite Broadway productions of all time.

If she had missed a show I'm sure there would have been more news about it on here.

However Gavin Creel's understudy is on the bootleg that's going around.

I have to imagine if she were to call out sick, the producers would prefer to cancel. Probably similar to Hugh Jackman in BOY FROM OZ.

I noticed yesterday that there are several scheduled dates that she will be out posted on either Ticketmaster or Telecharge.

^^ I'm almost positive those dates have been out for awhile as Donna is listed for them. David Hyde Pierce was out the night I saw it, but his understudy was great!

I'd be shocked if she was out that night, unless it was due to a major illness

Jeffrey, you are always on this board and know her attendance has been 100%!
Of course she'll be in ...Saturday night b4 the TONYS

I was also a little surprised this question came from Jeffrey.

Sorry, I haven't been on these boards as often. Though if Bette ends up being out tomorrow night, it should be interesting to see how the understudy does on her first performance.

Pretty sure there won't be a show tomorrow night if the understudy had to go on

With both Platt and Groban out tomorrow afternoon, I feel bad suggesting Tony weekend would be understudy free. I'm hoping Bette shows up for you Jeffrey!

Did Platt already call out for tomorrow?

Misread his tweet. Actually says he hopes to be back sometime this weekend. Though it probably doesn't seem like a sure bet

At least Bette wouldn't have to be as concerned about performing on the telecast. Are there any users here who saw the show tonight?

Yes, saw it tonight, thought Bette sounded a little hoarse, but I think that's just her normal voice nowadays because she was a hoot throughout energy-wise! Unforgettable performance!
Posted: 6/10/17 at 11:13am
You mean Bette performed? I thought David was going to perform!
Posted: 6/10/17 at 12:45pm
Phan24 meant Bette went on last night in Hello, Dolly!.
Posted: 6/10/17 at 12:52pm
That's what she gets paid to do, so why all the fuss?

Jeffrey Karasarides said: "So I was able to get some tickets to Hello, Dolly! for next Saturday night, and I want to know how good of a attendance record Bette Midler has had so far. I'm sure almost everyone in the cast will do their best to be present throughout all of next weekend because of the Tonys, but I'd like to make sure.
Have fun tonight, Jeffrey! I saw the show for the 2nd time this past Wednesday, and, of course, Bette was amazing, once again. But I really have to give a lot of credit to the 5 main supporting cast members: David Hyde Pierce, Gavin Creel, Kate Baldwin, Taylor Trensch, and Beanie Feldstein. They're all so wonderful, and most definitely on Ms. Midler's level of excellence. I'm thinking about seeing the show with Donna Murphy, just so I can see them all again!

David Hyde Pierce is out of the Matinee today but Michael McCormick is doing a fantastic job. What a fun show.
