Not a great trailer, but I enjoyed this at Soho Rep and I’m glad to see Aleshea Harris adapting her own work for the screen. And Kara Young is on a roll.

It’s edited sloppily, in my opinion, almost like it doesn’t have a legit distributor (although it does). I would have preferred it kept some of the shock factor a little more under wraps, but I get it’s a hard plot to sell.
Again, I really enjoyed the original production, so I’m looking forward to it. It just felt like a fan-edit trailer more than an actual Amazon/MGM release.

Well I didn't want to get into it, but he's a Satanist.
Every full moon he sacrifices 4 puppies to the Dark Lord and smears their blood on his paino.

I rarely if ever feel like trailers give too much away but after a certain reveal in this trailer I thought "that feels like a lot for the trailer' so if you often feel spoiled by trailers, I'd go in blind. It did leave me wondering how much crazier it gets if they put all of that in the trailer. Excited to see it.

I think it's less to do with blocking and more about people increasingly needing to be the one with the scoop.

For what it’s worth, I’m never looking to “scoop”. I’m currently home on disability from work and so when not at PT, I’m mostly home on my phone. I just happen to be on when stuff pops up. It breaks up my boredom.

Or people just get excited and want to share bc this is a message board so any and everyone is allowed to share what they want, whenever they want.
The audacity on these boards is shocking. Just because many of you have spent years of your life in discussion here doesn’t mean you own, run or dictate anything. The world is hard enough. Pick battles that matter.
