"Me & My Girl"
"Mame," with Catherine Zeta-Jones. Jerry Herman said many times that he thought she would be terrific.

I’d love to see American Idiot again, especially if they continue the trend of Saint Jimmy being cast as an alternative rock star from the nineties and aughts.
Can you imagine the lines around the block if they announced Gerard Way for one week only?

I’d like also to see a new God of Carnage. The one 15 or whatever years ago was exceptional.

The Most Happy Fella is the very first play I thought of! And I only know it because of the episode in I Love Lucy when the foursome go to see it.

I would love to see a revival of "A Class Act" also. I have listened to the Cast Recording a lot since it's release. I never saw it but I think it is a smaller show and would love to see it play a smaller theater like The Booth or Jones.

Katrina Lenk in Kiss of the Spider Woman. Yes,I know she's 50,but Chita was 62 when she played Aurora. Katrina has a background in dance and she has a great sultry-sounding voice that she uses when a part or song calls for it.

Daniel Radcliffe would be a great Ed Kleban in A Class Act who could sell the tickets needed to make this profitable.. Hudson would be a good size house for it..

I know that very few of you on this board are old enough to have seen Fiorello (which has never been revived) but I think it's make an absolutely GREAT revival given today's political climate. It's one of the only musicals to have won both the Best Musical Tony and Pulitzer Prize. It has a sensational score that ranges from the funny (see "Politics and Poker" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=APsYihdXPRE) to wonderful ballads like "When Did I fall in Love?" (Here's Audra's version: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SfbeV6ToyCw
Lemme know what you think.

Encores tried it twice -- and both times were underwhelming. Unfortunately it's one of those shows with a great score, but a book that hasn't held up (and it is just as dated as HOW TO SUCCEED now).

Totally forgot about The Hudson but yeah, that would be a good house also. I think Radcliffe would be a good choice also, but I would not pay an astronomical ticket price to see it.

Due to Aurora's function in the story I think you can cast it with any age really. And perhaps controversially, I don't even think dance is essential to making Spider Woman work. Aurora's star power was portrayed through dance because Chita was Chita. While I would prefer a high kicking Aurora, I wouldn't storm out of the theater if faced with a different interpretation.

I respectfully disagree about the dancing. Aurora, as conceived in Kiss of the Spider Woman, is more than just a fantasy, she’s an embodiment of old-Hollywood allure, crafted deliberately for a bona fide triple threat. Her presence is meant to embody the polish of a classic movie star, which includes not just vocal power and acting depth, but undeniable movement, a command of the stage that only dance can provide. Stripping that element away dilutes the theatrical language the show speaks in.
I think part of the reason this revival has taken so long is because the role demands someone who can carry both the artistic weight and the marquee power to make it resonate. Names like Beyoncé and Lady Gaga have floated around, but those were more dream casting than tangible possibilities. It wasn’t until Ariana DeBose’s Oscar win that people started to sense a revival might actually be within reach. Nicole Scherzinger, in many ways, is an even more natural fit being technically gifted, theatrically savvy, and finally receiving the recognition that aligns with the magnitude of the role.
