Posted: 8/18/04 at 3:44pmUm...........I would have to say...........Michael Crawford in PHANTOM OF THE OPERA. He is too nasally and drives me up the wall, even though it is my 2nd favorite cast recording. In fact, let's just do an overhaul of everyone in the cast except Raul and Meg.

On the reissued COMPANY OBCR it has Larry Kert's 'Being Alive'. It is better than Jones, but only slightly.
Jones left because of his own martial problems with his wife. And the strain was too much. He made a deal with Hal Prince before opening that he would do the rcording and a few shows then be gone. And Kert became the only replacement in B'way history to get the Tony nod.

Michele Hooper on "Romeo and Juliet: the Musical". God her voice is annoying...
And Eric Baranyanka on "Romeo en Julia: van Haat tot Liefde". He doesn't even sound like he's singing.
