Hey! I am probably going to in the heights some time during the summer & to a mat show. i am very much interested in meeting lin & other cast members & was wondering who comes out after a mat. so if you guys could help that would be great! :)
Well, I havn't seen it/stagedoor'd for it (YET) But back in April I was in NYC with my school and we saw Little Mermaid and when we were walking back to the bus after ITH was just getting out and we saw Lin-Manuel signing autographs (I'm still kicking myself they didn't give us time to go over)
"I told you, NO Rodgers and Hammerstein!"- Bart Simpson
What everyone else said. And they're all VERY sweet.

I chose, and my world was shaken- So what? The choice may have been mistaken,
The choosing was not...

just like everyone said. do not be afraid or nervous to start a conversation with them because they will talk to you very nicely and friendly with you. when i went krysta, mandy, andrea, janet were very close together coming out the door or came out together. saw karen too she was not in the performance so she did the right thing and came out the door and made a quick turn so that nobody could see her. if you want to talk to them keep it short for a matinee stagedoor because they also have an 8pm show so they want to eat dinner, run errands, etc. you will have a blast at this stagedoor.
Just get peoples names right and don't forget to thank everyone not just the leads.
totally agree with you, the ensemble loves it when they get reconized, one that everyone will agree you will def reconize out of the ensemble is krysta rodriquez.
did see grease and stopped brian sears to ask for a signature...he was complete awe and said thanks for reconzing me and gave me a hug with a peck on the cheek. i talked to him a for a bit.

What about Krysta Rodriguez?

i just meant by the length of her hair and plus i lobe her hair style. jjst a reminder the stagedoor is out the main doors to the left.
LOL... that wasn't my point.

They're all incredibly nice, and it's a fairly tame stage door. Not a lot of pushing and shoving. I don't know about his normal pace, but Lin was very quick and efficient, but I think I heard him muttering something about having to go meet his family, so that was probably why. He stopped for a few seconds to let me tell him how he's inspired me to keep working on the play I'm writing and he really seemed to appreciate that. He's a very sweet guy.
You must think I'm still sixteen.
I dropped out of high school for a reason.
And I don't care if you're pretty. I'm not admitting you are right.
My soul is not a stage.
I won't pretend I'm anything I'm not
When I went Lin was really nice. He signed and talked with everyone, and much to everyone's amusement, let us all know that his REAL abuela was there and he had to go help her get on her way home.

I went on the 4/5 Saturday mat, and the entire lead cast came out, they all took pics and it was probably the best SD experience I've had. Robin De Jesus is so cute!
Hunter: Your teeth need whitening./ Heidi: You sound weird./ Jeff: You taste funny.
-Jeff Bowen's worst onstage line flub.
Hey, Im going on the 31st to see ITH and was wondering how the stagedoor has been. Im really excited to go. Does the stagedoor get really crowded? any info would be great! :) Thanks
I was in the city last week and saw In The Heights on a Friday night and the stage door was packed. Just try and get from your seat to the stage door in a quick manner if you want to be right up to the barricades.
I don't know if this time of year a lot of cast members go on vacation, but I saw a couple understudies. Have fun!
"Everytime you step on that stage it is somebody's first Broadway show and somebody's last Broadway show. Make it count."
Yeah, it was pretty crowded on Aug 10th, but the cast was gracious and signed for everyone and took pictures!
Broadwayfan7 - I saw a couple of understudies too - Chris Jackson and Karen Olivo were out. I was surprised Chris was out considering he had a planned vacation this week. But it happens.
I was there August 13, and all but Chris Jackson came out after the matinee. (He may have come out after we left.) They were all very sweet and gracious. Just a tip, though - if you want to meet Olga Merediz, get there quick, because she comes out literally five minutes after the show is over.
Thanks for the info. I will probably leave during the curtain call to get to the stagedoor and then wait in the back of the house so we can see the whole curtain call then rush out to the barricades. We are in the 4th row from the stage so it would be pretty hard for us to make a quick exit...lol :)

Such a pet peeve of mine... For the record, at the matinee today I stayed thru the entire curtain call, said hi to Alex, and still had time to get outside in enough time to say bye to Olga (who is usually out first) and everyone else- there's no need to blow out during the curtain call.
Ohh ok good because I didn't really want to do that...I love staying until the end. But from what everyone was saying it sounded like i should get there as soon as i can.
I was in the seventh row and still was infront at the stage door. You don't have to exit through the back of the house. On the right side of the theatre by the stage there are exits.
