I always knew that they would have to change those aspects of On the Steps of the Palace and Giants in the Sky. I can't wait for the visuals on those two. Showing the festival is probably the only time that Rob Marshal is going to really be able to show any real choreography and I'm sure that it's going to be a spectacle. I'm a little sad to see No More go. I wonder how they will handle the Baker finding the strength and reason to go on.

Out of curiosity, is it even worth sending in a resume to the LA & New York casting agents with all the submissions they'll receive? Any tips for making yours stand out?
Just curious. I don't have the largest Film/Stage resume. I am a singer, but, I do a lot of professional circus work with Circus Americana, Cirque du Soleil, and Feld Entertainment. The theatres in my state aren't the best so I don't really have the best resume. Figured I'd ask you guys, though!

Sounds like you should send your resume to Pippin.

Now, I'm not sure if Allison Janney will be playing Jack's mother. The pilot, 'Lorre’s Mom', which she filmed, has been picked up for a full season. That might interfere with her doing 'Into the Woods' since it begins filming this September.'
Robin Williams, Will Arnett, Sarah Michelle Gellar comedies get CBS orders
Laura Benanti's TV show just got cancelled, I wonder if she could possibly get a role in this

Is Sarah Hyland from Modern Family too old to play Little Red?
What about Nicole Kidman or Marion Cotillard for the wife?

^ I know she's in her 20s but she legit still looks 15 on Modern Family
Isn't Laura Benanti a bit past the age for Cinderella/Rapunzel? And as far as the Baker's Wife...I love her voice, but I can't see her pulling it off. She just reads older on screen to me, especially on Go On.

No surprise, the Hollywood Reporter and Entertainment Weekly have both confirmed Depp is playing the Wolf and James Corden has been cast as the Baker.

Laura is going to make a great Baker's Wife at some point, she must play the role on Broadway. I wouldn't mind seeing her in the film but I can't imagine she has a chance in hell of getting such a coveted role. She played Cinderella over ten years ago, she has moved on. She was hilarious in GO ON, such a shame the show got cancelled.
Not happy to hear Winslet was cast in another film, she'd be perfection with Corden. My top choices for the role would all be great with him: Winslet, Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, and Nina Arianda.
I think Corben is pretty great news! He certainly has the stage cred, too...

Maybe Megan Hilty can play Lucinda now that her TV show has been cancelled.

^ I was also wondering about that.
As for Benanti she can play Florinda.

"Zooey Deschanel is The Baker's Wife"
They needed someone who could mug on the same level as Corden.

He's a little old, no? He'd be a pretty good prince though
Hmm, he has a youthful face though, and most actors/actresses his age always play high school students.

My mom thought Hunter Parrish actually looked too old to play a college graduate in 'It's Complicated'.
That's odd since college students/graduates varies in ages. A person in their 40's could go to college. Hunter looked fine as a college graduate.
Andy Mientus doesn't seem like a Jack to me, he's a bit too soft for that role.
But isn't Jack supposed to be a sheltered and boyish?
