you don't know OH-OH that so and so is Jack
Sure, but Jack should also have a bit more grit. Andy Mientus looks too gentle and fragile.
Harry Styles is being courted for Jack.... and it'll probably happen

^ Disney would be smart to keep this person away from the film after the BIG BREAKUP they had.

For what it's worth, Jewel just tweeted about the difficulty of singing "Steps on the Palace." Cinderella?

^ I went to see Jewel in concert the other night. She has a very unique and strong voice, but we'll see if this is what she means.
Lauren Ambrose and James Corden could bake some very tasty bread together!
If Kerry Washington can sing, I'm all aboard with her as the Baker's Wife.
Hasn't she sung in the past? For something? I thought?

Jewel has like the least Cinderella type voice ever
There's something kinda there. Kinda.
Kerry singing
Has anyone seen the awful Ang Lee movie RIDE WITH THE DEVIL? Jewel is not even acting enough for it to be considered bad acting, whatever it is she calls acting isn't it, so I certainly hope there's no way in hell she'd be a part of this project.

Lol Playbill is nothing if not predictable, I guessed like 95% of those suggestions
but GOD NO @ Eddie Redmayne and his kermit the frog singing, yall need jesus
Christian Borle could have been a wonderful Baker. But Corben's going to be great.
Anne Hathaway for the Baker's Wife.
For whatever reason, I want the Baker's Wife to at least suggest the idea that she could be matronly.
You know ... a mother type.
Anne Hathaway doesn't do that for me. Neither does Reece Witherspoon, who looks like she'd just as soon eat her young.
Nina Arianda, on the other hand ... yes.
I'm a shameless fan of Jewel's Christmas album, which is more traditional and traditional country than one would assume from her. She shows some head voice/soprano range in her "Ave Maria" among other tracks. Not that she's a perfect Cinderella type vocally or acting wise, but it's an interesting choice. If she can act. Please let all of the cast be good actors at the very least.
