I think he's taking it a week at a time.

Looks like Gavin's little fan has some more tricks under his belt.

As someone who sprained her ankle four weeks ago (and living in NYC cannot stay off of it...ever), they take a while to heal- especially if you don't give it the proper time and rest. I have no problem bearing weight (which seems may be the case for Gavin- as he finished the first act after spraining it and whose photograph was a walking cast), but cannot relevé or point my foot- both of which are necessary for proper jumping technique. Hopefully he won't be out for long, since I'd imagine his schedule allows him to rest his ankle- but I agree that it's better he take as much time as necessary than risk aggravation or further injury.

It's definitely not better yet. I can walk but not support weight in relevé or point my foot without discomfort. But most sprains heal in 4-to-6 weeks, so we'll see what happens. Surely the PT on staff is giving Gavin all of the good stuff to heal effectively and restore ligament strength!

Same here Broadwaybaby. I've broken and sprained each of my ankles at various times. But I was a teenager when I did and of course couldn't be bothered with resting and have paid the price for it since. They are weak and all the ligaments and tendons are stretched out. I joke that there is pretty much nothing holding my ankles together LOL Now I walk down the street and they just roll on me. I just messed my left one up badly in karate last week because of just all the damage I've done to them. Bottom line is I need surgery to fix over 15 years of damage.... and I JUST got medical insurance at my job. Hopefully I can take some time off next year and get at least one of them done.
Anyway, the moral of my boring story is that here's hoping Gavin stays off it, heals and comes back healthy! I don't care is he's gone for 2 - 4 weeks as long as he doesn't rush back and re-injure it even worse.

No idea. He hasn't really tweeted lately either. But I'm going on Saturday. I'll give a heads up to who's on.

LOL It's actually going to be a hippie-licious day! Going to The Hippie Shop in NJ, then going to see Taking Woodstock, then Hair!!

Barring coma or death, I don't think Gavin would miss the rally

I'll be there as well...and yes, Gavin wouldn't miss it for the world. I hope the weather holds out!
Also, I didn't mean to sound like I thought Gavin might miss this. I know how important it is to him. I originally read Devious' comment ("The rally is tomorrow is anybody going? Maybe they can tell us how Gavin's ankle is?") as hoping that someone would give an update on Gavin's ankle at the rally: and so I thought Devious meant that he might not be there. I now realize that Devious was asking anyone who goes to the rally to come back and post any updates.

Have fun at the rally! Give us who are stuck at work a report on what happens
