Jason Gotay is in a new "Obsessed" with Seth Rudetsky, and the first line is:
"As Jason Gotay prepares to enter a Broadway musical with the kind of high-flying stunts he didn't get to do in Bring It On: The Musical (we can't reveal the name of the show quite yet…),"
What do you think the show is?
Could he be Reeve Carneys replacement?
Maybe Aladdin??

I'll predict ALADDIN just because I do not see him in the role of the Spiderman. At all. Will be interesting to see... Also, who knows what kind of role he will be? It just eludes to a new musical. Not that he's "starring" in a new musical.

Personally, I don't see him as the awkward character that Peter and I think Reeve looks like that awkward kid in school. But if it is true, congrats to him. Maybe he is the breath of fresh air the show needs.

No one will be able to fill his big tights. He is the teengirls broadway dream boy. No one comes close! My sister and I had the pleasure of meeting him in that pizzaria acriss the street from the back theater. He was with Jenn and he was soooooooo nice and dreamy.... that's the only word I know that can describe him she probably wanted to roll her eyes but she got a kick out of our goofiness too.... screeching and squeeling and with funny accents haha. . While our friends liked the jonas we werw all about carney.A part of our teenlove will leave with him.

You can also tell that Seth mouths 'Spiderman' at the end of the video and it gets 'censored'. I guess to play Peter Parker you have to be a good singer and an okay actor, which both Reeve and Jason are.

Once again, this great character is made a total joke out of.

Nobody in the world would believe this performer as an introverted, pained, intellectual, scrawny, freakish teenager. But then again, the show's book, music, and direction don't support it either. So I guess that doesn't matter.

I've known Jason since the 6th grade and can assure you that he has not always been the romantic lead type- he is more than capable of playing a quirky/smart/etc character

From Sargent's tweets from the past few weeks you can tell that he had always known of the chance of him taking over as lead-guess they didn't even want to start him as alternate.

So happy for him, though!! Loved him in Rock of Ages.
