Jeremy Jordan vs. Aaron Tveit

Aaron Tveit has the best voice I have ever heard in NYC in 20 years, but Jeremy Jordan beats him in the acting department, plain and simple.

I would so want to watch them naked mud wrestle!

Aaron Tveit is an attractive, serviceable performer with a good voice. Jeremy Jordan has a star quality that doesn't come around too often. Thought he was sensational in Newsies, and if I were a Tony voter, he'd get my vote.

Why can't they just both be appreciated for being great performers? Why must EVERYTHING be ranked?
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?
These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

And what about Jeremy Jordan getting a Tony nomination but Aaron Tveit didn't get one for either Next to Normal or Catch Me..
Clearly Tveit didn't get those nominations in two other different seasons so that Jordan would get one this year.

I agree that they don't need to be compared. Just because they're two young, talented, good looking male performers doesn't mean they need to be scrutinized against one another.
I think they both are talented.

Both are formidable but Ethel Merman in her prime could take em both down.

They both can also sing some insane high notes.

I'd hit it with either of them. Let's put this baby to bed.
"The sexual energy between the mother and son really concerns me!"-random woman behind me at Next to Normal
"I want to meet him after and bang him!"-random woman who exposed her breasts at Rock of Ages, referring to James Carpinello

Both of them are 28-years-old. Not sure how much longer we can keep calling them twinks. They are quite studly though.

ljay, it all depends on your age and perspective.
I give AAron 2 years more and JJ 4.
If you are 18 you could call them Daddy.

Both are great performers with outstanding voices.
However, I would say Jordan is the more versatile of the two, having seen him play Drew, Tony, Clyde, and now Jack.
I would also say Jordan has more star quality, given how he elevates the material in Newsies and carries that show.

^ Wow, your view has changed a bit! Jordan is definitely immensely talented.
If you are 18 you could call them Daddy.
I am older than 18, and I reserve Daddy for 40+

I agree with the comments regarding JJ having star quality that Tveit lacks.

JJ may be "more" versatile but Aaron is also flexible.
Did you see him as James Franco's BF in HOWL!?
He was lovely.

Can't wait to see Aaron as Enjolras in the Les Mis movie (or as fans are calling him, "Aaronjolras") - girls on the internet/tumblr, etc. are salivating over him.

I think both are magnificent performers, but Aaron only seems to be good for the clean-cut all-American boy roles. Jeremy is a bit rougher around the edges and seems a little more versatile.
