Oh I suppose some people post things that are just wrong, because they don't know what they are talking about. like you did.

What exactly did I post wrong, since you are the genius? You are the one that's wrong.
Oh, please. No one knows what anyone's plans are, nor if anything depends upon a Tony win.
We'll find out when the production team or individual actor wants us to know. Some will stay, some will leave.

To be fair, everyone (apart from one person who said that Lin IS leaving in July) is just speculating. That happens all the time on these boards and I don't really see the problem with it.
Aside from the timelines being different, as far as when the 12-month contract lined up with the opening of In The Heights compared to the Tony Awards, Lin did 12 months and left that show after winning the Tony Award for Best Musical. So, there is precedent. And, if it took him 6 years to write Hamilton, that could mean the longer he stays in Hamilton, the further out past 2020 that his next show will start taking shape.
@Dave13 "What exactly did I post wrong"
"My guess is previews started 7/13/15. Most contracts will end 7/13/16."
Contracts do not start on the day previews start. They don't just all show up and put on a show, ya know.
Man if we didn't post opinions, theories, and educated guesses...this would be a paltry board.

LMM staying in the show through the summer, let alone end of year is nothing but wishful thinking...
But...he'll be back...maybe just in another place.
Chicago opening, multiple productions mount soon thereafter, as well as other announced commitments add up to a departure prior to August 2016.

Heh. The show doesn't even have a performance that day.
why would any of the cast think trickle-down economics would exist in a Broadway musical...

Then when do contracts end? I said guess. Try to get out whatever is in your ass.
They do end in exactly 12 months, but the first preview isn't the start, it is whenever the rehearsal period began before that...

From this article:

'Most cast members are working on 52-week contracts, which began July 13, the first day of Broadway previews, and those who intend to stay will soon be negotiating new deals.'

Sorry, didn't check the show schedule for that weekend. I just assumed there was a show that Sunday. But I DO know for a fact that that's Lin's final weekend in the show. So Saturday the 9th.
ETA: I've been informed by my source that there is a chance of him playing one more week, but that's iffy right now.
I am speculating LMM will leave in July as well. At those scoffing at people's opinions and/or speculation this is a message board where the community shares opinions, ideas, speculations, etc. This is the heart of a community message board. I don't understand why some of you are bothered by it.

I just watched Leslie Odom Jr's interview on NBC and he confirmed he is leaving this Summer (so July I'm guessing).

Based on your previous post, Looks like his final performance will be around 7/13. I have tickets 7/23 and not thrilled at the moment.
Compared to Javier, I think Hamilton is usually about two minutes longer when Lin is playing the role. But I can't quite figure out why it happens.

He probably goes ever so slightly slower and annunciates more. Or maybe it was just a coincidence and your curtain started a minute or two early in one case over another.

Lin gets applauses which pause the show for a few more seconds than Javier. it builds up throughout the show.

I thought he was AFTER Raul Esparza
It was slightly startling to hear the Odom is leaving in July -- "summer". Yet it also makes sense. He can return, and will probably be given the chance to do so; but the role is a killer, and it's about a year and a half. He has one of the best attendance records in the show, at least via anecdotal evidence: the fans who post. I know of few people who've seen the show and missed him. My personal feeling: he and Javier (whom I saw) were an ideal combo together.

If Leslie wins the Tony my bet is that he negotiates a contract extension for 6 more months. Any other result and he will leave in July.
