This breaks my heart. I know a lot of posters here aren't fans of Lea's, but you have to feel for her, at least a little bit. I can't imagine what she's going through, especially with the paparazzi tracking her every move.

I do feel for her and it seemed like her speech was genuine but she still seems like a mega Bitch.

I was shocked when I saw this! I give her lots of credit if she really meant what she said though. It was a very nice speech. But who knows, maybe she was just acting.

I have nothing against Miss Michelle, but that was not "real life".

That was a practiced performance by an actress at a public event. Which is NOT to say she didn't also mean it. Even if they were dating for p.r. purposes ("even if" -- I don't know), I'm sure she and her co-worker were friends and she is genuinely saddened by his death.

But I don't know what "real life" has to do with her statement at an awards show.

I'm also surprised by the comments on here, even for BWW. It was very clearly planned, being as she was waiting in the wings and there was a photo projected at the end, but even so, she seemed more than genuine. She suffered a loss... show some compassion.

you all need to get a grip on your lives. This is pathetic. Just saying. I happen to be a huge fan of Lea, and also Cory. They were both major inspirations to me, so trust me when I say this. Now I know I do not know them personally, but Lea and Cory were truly in love. And she suffered a huge loss when he died. We all did. Show some compassion. She did not have to give that speech. And yes, she probably did know she won, and she probably had time to decide whether or not she wanted to attend and give a speech. And she did. For Cory, herself, and all of her fans. Even if you aren't her fan or if you dislike everything about her, cut her some slack. She lost the love of her life, and you all are here laughing about it. It's sick.

I'm in no way shape or form a fanatic of Lea Michele's, but I have to say that some of you on this board have a lot of growing up to do. You lack compassion and empathy. It's an ugly attitude to have to tap dance on the grave of someone's misery.

You are bad if not worse than what you are all claiming Lea Michele to be.
