you're fully ridiculous now.
I have no time for your "white savior" behaviour. if only i cared enough to "call you out" or "hold" you "accountable" for all the false things you say about us or your ridiculous accusations.

You don’t even know how to use the term white savior.
Anyway, Zhailon Levingston is just as much part of the Cats vision as Bill. And your attempt to overlook him displays your ridiculous existence. You are not to be taken seriously. Just watch how you discredit Black folks on these boards. As I said, i’ll always check you.
And Happy Black History month to you because allegedly you’re a Black woman.

Seriously. I’m so tired of the ad hominem attacks and threads getting hijacked by folks who need to respond over and over to each other insisting they have the last work.

I DO know how - and just did. And am. You are incorrect as to its beginnings. Please respect others. We have nothing more to say to you. And thank you.
Moving on - (and sorry to everyone else as the this "ensemble" person only seems to attack people and things of which he has no knowledge).

Has anyone heard if Shoshana Beans role in LOST BOYS is lead or featured? Could see her getting a nom.
The role appeared more featured in the most recent workshop. She had a duet etc. Guessing Wirries as Lucy will go lead. And Bean supporting ?
Levy smartly stayed with her best shot at the trophy in Ragtime.

Honestly what I’m curious about is if anybody from Rocky Horror or Jellicle Ball could be considered in this category.

I would like to see that popular production of Fiddler in the Roof from London take over the Majestic this fall

No, neither Bette Midler or Barbara Hersey were nominated.
Always heard a lot about middler with that film so we assumed she had. Maybe it was more about the song.
The only real acclaim the Beaches film ever received was for the soundtrack.

The song definitely made it more about Midler which won Grammy Awards for both Record of the Year and Song of the Year

No."
Why not? The character already has won this award. Definitely possible.
Grizabella got mostly lost in the shuffle of the amazing production when I saw it downtown.

Which character? Betty Buckley won Featured Actress for Grizabella, not Lead.
I guess one could argue that Old Deuteronomy and Grizabella are the closest Cats has to "leads" but when you put those roles next to true leading roles, it's kind of hard to see them as anything but featured. Putting them in leading would be to their detriment.

I understand the committee would probably rule against them and it's just a theoretical exercise at his point but is there any world where the producers decide a lot of acting nominations without guaranteed wins is better than one or two strong featured nominees? I just wonder if the Ragtime v. Cats narrative is going to be so dominant it could make sense to try to push André De Shields and Tempress Chasity Moore lead hoping it allows for some more featured nominations and push their total tally up, even if that makes De Shields less win competitive?
I'm sure producers will try to maximize their potential nominees as much as possible.
Like most, I think Levy is in the lead at present. But I genuinely wouldn't be surprised if Marla Mindelle pulled it off for Titanique. I think she's the singular reason the show worked as well as it did. She's a force in the show. It will just come down to whether folks this she and/or the show are just too unserious.
With the Mazzie/Levy comparisons, I think it's tough that Mazzie was extraordinary in the original but didn't win the Tony. If one thinks that Levy is great but slightly less transcendent than Mazzie was, does that impact voters? And there's also that voice in the back of my head saying Levy was even better in Next to Normal. While that didn't make it here, the proshot did, so will anyone hesitate just because they feel she was better elsewhere? For me, none of that detracts from the excellence of her work or how much she deserves a Tony for it. But they're factors that I can imagine getting into people's heads. I could also, certainly, be overthinking this all.
In an ideal world, voters will assess nominated performances solely in relation to the other nominated performances, not against performers who did the role 30 years ago.

It obviously didn’t hurt Nicole Scherzinger last year given the fact that Glenn Close was the greatest Norma Desmond, and she had done it only a few years earlier to love letter reviews. Caissie Levy will not be nominated because she never is because she’s not great. Kristin, Marla Mindelle, Pitts, the two ladies from beaches.
