I am thinking about getting limited view seats to Once at the Boston Opera House for me and my friend for Christmas. How are they? Will I miss a lot? Or should I just shoot for the balcony?
There are some limited view seats at the Opera House where you won't miss anything. They tend to be the last couple of rows. If you don't want to miss any of the action I would say go for the balcony. It's such a beautiful theater, I'm sure Once will sound fantastic there.
The further back you go the better it is. I saw wicked there and the seats were fantastic sat in the second to last row. Just go as far in and far back as you can.
Okay good to know! I got row K right orchestra. Got them from BosTix and they always have this Limited View deal going for it's shows. Hoping we see everything alright!
It is an old movie palace and I visited years ago on a theater tour. Sat in the last row. Someone on stage talked normally and could be heard from where I sat. In most of these old theaters the accoustics are superior to most newer theaters. The actors in burlesque etc had to be heard before invention of microphones.

I bought limited view seats for WICKED at the Boston Opera House a few months ago. We were sitting in house right which made it hard to see all of stage left. It was not that bad as we were only 8 rows from the stage. But, in Act 2 we simply got up and moved to the center orchestra, where there were plenty of empty seats.

Has anyone purchased these tickets from Bostix recently? What rows / seats have you sat in and what was your experience there?
ONCE isn't going to be at The Opera House, it's going to be at The Shubert.

I'm asking about the Bostix tickets for limited view at the Opera House . It is in regards to Newsies and other Broadway in Boston Shows at the Opera House Boston.
I'm responding to the original poster, who specifically cited ONCE.
In terms of the Opera House, I think that a partial view orchestra seat will always be better than a full-view seat in the less expensive rear mezzanine or balcony.
The original post is almost two years old.
I I did the BosTix limited view a couple of times in the back of the orchestra. It was fine.
