Yes, I remember when it was announced in December. This article looks more current. I was trying to find the old thread from back in December here on the boards, but couldn't locate it. I would have attached it there. Hope it's ok to post here. If not, please let me know, and I can email the site's moderator and have it removed. Thanks.

My post was simply to point out that the article was not current, as the OP suggested it was. I opened the article and, as I usually do, looked at the date. I was simply pointing it out, not to be nasty. The OP thanked me.

The mental gymnastics you must be doing to maintain that nothing was “posted” is odd. The OP provided a link, albeit an older one, to generate conversation, and several of you gatekeeping geezers swooped in to make them feel terrible. If you want to be the only one posting, use a different platform because this is a community, not your personal message board. BWW activity is already a shadow of its former self, and if you want to see how worse it could get, take a look at the forums on Gold Derby. That site seems to have been abandoned by the users and even today’s Emmy nominations could barely bring that community back to life.

I am so sorry that someone duplicated information on this message board. I can only imagine what harm sharing some information has done to you. Not everyone follows every single piece of news about Liza, and believe it or not, some of us may have not been aware her book was optioned. Thanks again for your amazing contributions to the board, and once again, I deeply apologize on behalf of Broadway World.

The hostility is still funny. No one's being attacked. No one's being forbidden from posting (or attacked for doing so). It's just there's no new info, so it doesn't serve any point. Not seeing how acknowledging that is so infurtiating. *shrug*

They are currently being worked on so they’re both definitely happening. Both are fully confirmed projects and already have been officially picked up so they’re not spec projects. Grand Central Publishing is releasing the memoir in late 2026 and Magnolia Hill Productions is producing the limited series which Warner Brothers has already optioned and will be handling the production.

There’s been a million shows greenlit and confirmed for development that never see the light of day, so we’ll see.
We know the book is definitely happening, and of course I will be buying it - but I don’t expect much depth beyond what Liza shared in her documentary. As Mia Farrow stated (directly after Liza claims “nobody did drugs” at Studio 54…), Liza likes to put on a sanitized, happy front. She’s not going to be spilling tea on anything, at best we’ll get some really positive and joyful stories about growing up as a kid in Hollywood and maybe some of her tours or stage work.
I would love if they talked more about her life post-70s. Pretty much everything in the last forty years or so was done in a fast-paced compilation tacked on at the end of the doc. Let’s talk about Results, Victor/Victoria, Liza’s At the Palace, Arrested Development, her 2018 auction, leaving New York (with Mama too!), etc.
