There are so many talented actors in London that need to come to Broadway in the future. Who are some of your favorites that should come to Broadway?

The idea is to work and to experiment. Some things will be creatively successful, some things will succeed at the box office, and some things will only - which is the biggest only - teach you things that see the future. And they're probably as valuable as any of your successes. -Harold Prince

I mean I'm still bitter that we were robbed of Patsy Ferran and Russell Tovey in Virginia Woolf.

Sorry wrong Jonathan. I meant Jonathan Bailey.

But as for the others. Yes they’ve been on Broadway before. I was hoping for a return. I didn’t think the OP specified.

Philip Quast is one that comes to mind right away. I know for years, he had said that he would not wish to preform on Broadway at all. I am sure he had chances to do so as well. Yet, he did to the concert of Sweeney Todd with the New York Philharmonic. So, who knows, perhaps things can change.

I’d also love to see Jonathan Bailey. Was super impressed by John McCrae when I saw him as Jamie in Everybody’s Talking About Jamie. He also had a memorable role in Cruella recently. I’d really love Back to the Future to come over, but I haven’t seen it, so I don’t know if the leads needs to transfer with it.

With West End mainstay Sharon D. Clarke looking like the favourite for Best Actress at the Tonys this year after reprising her Oliver Award winning turn in Caroline or Change, it feels like a pretty good time to bring this up. My Top 3 West End stars who I would like to make Broadway debuts are...

1. Rosalie Craig

2. Clive Rowe

3. Miriam Teak Lee

Personally, as a Londoner, I'm a little more invested in people going the other direction, but it is a pretty fun source of pride when one of our West End mainstays succeeds in NYC...
