I wanted to post it here because I post in here the most often and Wedding Singer's what brought me to this site in the first place. Never did I think I'd reach this, and definitely not this soon.
I'm gonna be excited for this one because I REALLY don't think I'll ever reach legend, and that's ok by me. This is good enough.
Yeah, I'll stop being a dork now, haha. Go on with your business.

during the opening scene, when joberg (david josefsberg) goes to get the microphone from lynch for the drunken best man speech, he knocked the mic off the stage and into the front row. while lynch went to get the mic from the guy who caught it, joberg was laying on the stagefloor yelling "I NEED THAT!!!!" lol
and then when joberg is saying "hes always been the golden boy. the star of the family. right dad" the guy he looked at in the crowd started answering him, and said "yeah" and "i was just at a wedding the other day" and joberg, without hesitation said "oh yeah? great. i even screwed up the bachelor party..." he played it off so well. alot of the people on stage were obviously laughing at this point.
there were a few bloopers today, but it was fun.
stagedoor was crazy. a group of kids almost knocked the guardrail over when constantine came out.
this show brings my count up to 27, and i think im going again on saturday for the matinee. anyone else going?
That's absolutely amazing about yesterday's show!!! I love when crazy things happen like that!
I'm going tonight YAY! It feels like I haven't been there in forever, even though it's been less than 2 weeks. I get waaaaay too excited each time I go back, it's insane.
bwayondabrain: So you're the one who took that picture! That's absolutely amazing and I LOVE IT!!! Cara is too cute, seriously. And I love Nicolette in the background too. Priceless.
I finally got back from NYC and seeing the Wedding Singer last Saturday night.
The show was awesome. When Felicia did her flip on the bed, her butt hit Stephen right in the face.
Having seen both Kevin and Stephen in the role now, I liked Stephen's timing a bit more. However, I did like Tina's Julia better. I know that's the eternal debate around here, but that's my opinion.
The place was packed. Everyone was laughing up a storm, mostly at Constantine. His performance was spot on. Much better than when I saw him right after he joined the show. I only saw a video of Matt doing Sammy, but in my opinion Constantine's got that part down and his voice is awesome. He's got a lot of good things coming to him after he leaves the show in December.
The stage door was crazy. I got lots of signatures on the front of my Playbill because I was holding the Playbill in my hand front up and upside down so when they walked by they would be signing it without having to turn it over or around.
I also got the Carols for Caring cd and asked Constantine to sign that for me.
Jekyll & Hyde back on Broadway! / Rock of Ages - 5 Tony nominations! Awesome!
Just for future reference, unless you're referring to the B-roll footage of Matthew as Sammy that was filmed during previews and edited into the promotional features for the show (broadway.com clips, things on vh1.com, etc) or appearances such as the Tonys or the Today Show, we don't talk about videos here. Just want to make sure no one gets in trouble!
Anyhoo, that little crowd interaction with David sounds very funny. I miss watching him in his ensemble track - I haven't seen him as the drunk guy since mid August!
So what's new with the girl with golden hair? Has her popularity shrunk like this photo? Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
"I'm learning to dig deep down inside and find the truth within myself and put that out. I think what we identify with in popular music more than anything else is when someone just shares a truth that we can relate to. That's what I'm searching for in my music." - Ron Bohmer
"I broke the boundaries. It wasn't cool to be in plays- especially if you were in sports & I was in both." - Ashton Kutcher
"I'll cut you, Tracee Beazer!!!!
...Just kidding. I'd never cut anyone." -Tina Maddigan, 9/30/06, WS stage door
Avatar: JULIE "EFFING" WHITE, 2007 TONY WINNER. Thank God.
I'm thinking about legally changing my name to Lizzie Curry...
Hey everybody, just got back from the show tonight! It was HILARIOUS! Everybody was absolutely nuts during Act I and then it kinda went back to normal, lolz. But I definitely even took notes so I could remember all the funny things that happened so here's my list of moments worth remembering from tonight's show:
~"I am not calling him. F**k...not again!" ~ "That's gross" After Julia gets off the phone with "This is the touch of class not the touch of what you just said" ~ "Formaldehyde is an interesting choice...but no." ~ Really loud people talking behind me during the Sammy mic check part in Robbie's wedding "I think that's the American Idol one!" "No that's not him!" "Yes it is!!!" causing Constantine to shush them ~ "Crystal, will you murry me baby?" ~ Kevin Kern feeding champagne from a spoon to Christina's cat ~ Christina grabbing the Twinkie from Adinah causing Adinah to pinch her ~ Dennis and Eric dance-wrestling in the background of "Casualty of Love" ~ Congratulations!...not the time..." ~ Laura raising the roof after her YAY! before dumpster ~ I'll buy you a pretzel!!! ~ Laura talking into the shoe and shoving it in Stephen's face to smell ~ Laura completely losing it at the end of "Not That Kind of Thing" to the point where she could not even sing anymore because she was doubled over laughing so hard ~ Rather than improving about wedding dresses Laura attacking Stephen and blaming him for her losing it "You evil person!!!" ~ Constantine with the beer in "Right in Front of Your Eyes" What the hell is this?!? ~ "My veil..."
And that's about all the new stuff I realized. Stuff I can't get enough of?
~ Glen punching Robbie back when he says goodbye after the kiss ~ "Yeah she's pretty funny..." ~ Nicolette's "Is he dead???" after Glen punches Robbie
I sorely missed Cara and Matt a LOT! I mean the replacements are good and I found myself enjoying their performance but still it made me sad
Overall a very fun show. I'm very glad I got the chance to see that. Updated On: 11/3/06 at 12:30 AM
