Ok, just to let you all know, Constantine is apparently starting Tuesday. And Richard Blake will be out this Saturday and the following Saturday, as well as October 7th.

And also, if anyone saw Kevin this weekend and wants to let him know they enjoyed his performance, he has a website and a guestbook - rest of the website is under construction, but still...www.kevinkern.net.

the word got out and suddenly, the band and I are in demand!
I don't need a life that's normal. That's way too far away. But something next to normal would be okay. Something next to normal is what I'd like to try. Close enough to normal to get by.
And now couples all over Jersey, hire me to ensure their wedding bliss

Hi all, my name is Margie and I got engaged on stage of the Wedding Singer Musical, July, 22nd. I saw some posts about it and wanted to share a website that my fiance's friend created; it has some articles and the clips from Access Hollywood and Fox 5 News. The proposal was awesome and he did have our parents and siblings and best friends on the balcony and I had no idea! Well, just wanted to share! Here's the site: http://www.gruenfelder.com/mikemargie

(and u got to see laura benanti on as julia!!, ha ha)
Thanks! We are doing great. We have planned our wedding for next July, 2007 on Long Island, that's where I live. The cast was awesome. My fiance did a dry run with them the day before we went and he said everyone was so excited and so cool. He actually gave the producers the ring that day and Stephen Lynch had it in his pocket throughout the last act! After the proposal while we were on stage, the cast was hugging and kissing us as if we knew everyone for years. It was really great :) We are going back October 21st to see it a second time with friends from Florida; I'm assuming Mike will enjoy it more now that he'll be a little bit more relaxed :)

I read in another thread that they took down the billboard for TWS in Times Square. The there were pictures of some new ones. There was one for Usher in Chicago.
Do you think maybe they will put up a new Wedding Singer billboard? Why would they take it down. It is such good advertisement.
I know Constantine is not anywhere near as big as Usher (altho, I would be hard pressed to think of an Usher 'song'), but I am hoping he's going to bring some people in to see TWS.
Do you think the poster who said he is joining tomorrow instead of Friday knows for sure? Why didn't Matthew stay till Thursday? Is that normally they way it works when someone leaves? Maybe to have a transitional period for the new actor? I have lots of questions, I know, but I am interested. This is something new for me.
Jekyll & Hyde back on Broadway! / Rock of Ages - 5 Tony nominations! Awesome!
I saw they took down the billboard yesterday and I got alittle scared because it could be a hint towards it's closing.
And I read on another site that they only sell front row for student rush now & that's it. At first, I thought that was really stupid and mean because now only about 24 people can get tickets. BUT, they're only paying 26.25$ and if the people that can't get tickets want to see the show, they'd go down to tkts & pay 59$ which is a 30$ increase that the box office would make. So actually, it was a good idea, assuming people WILL go to TKTS instead of just not seeing the show....
Blue-- I don't think taking down the poster is a sign it's closing. Lestat's poster was up for months after it did close. I think the week for TWS ends on a Sunday and the new week begins on a Tuesday which may be why Constantine is starting Tuesday now and not on a random Friday night.
I saw him at stagedoor last night and well I didn't exactly get a great/friendly vibe from his direction at all. It was extremely different then how the rest of the cast is. Hopefully this will be a quick 8 weeks
I brought this blog from his myspace over from another thread. He sounds nervous. Maggie, previously his blog said he would hurry by the Wed-heads because he didn't feel he deserved it, yet. He sounds pretty humble here. We'll see tomorrow. Dang, I'm nervous for him, too.

OFFICIAL OPENING 9/8
So...
I have never been "put in" to a show before. Meaning, I have never joined a show in progress.
It's...interesting.
Without the luxury of dress rehearsals, notes with the director and so forth...it's also frustrating.
Yes...they are sneeking me in Tuesday 9/5
I will do the rest of the week and hopefully by Friday I actually know where I am going and what the hell I wear in each scene. lol
These shows will serve as my dress.
I would say come the 8th and after...please?
There will be enough people judging me and saying how bad I suck before than. lol
Love,
C~

WOAH. Sorry to talk about this again but Margie3 I was definitely there for that proposal. Was sitting in the 5th row. You can see my white suit on the access hollywood segment for like a second. Just wanted to say congratulations. That was a night I won't soon forget and I'm sure you won't either.
Now onto my rant of how much I love this musical. Seriously I hate the people out there that hate it. They just hate on it because its not historically significant or huge dramatic show. IT'S FUN! The most fun I've ever had in a theatre. I took my friend who's NEVER seen a show and doesn't like much Musical Theatre and he LOVED IT. Stephen Lynch is amazing. I've loved his work forever though so I expected it out of him. Was very happy with the overall performance. Lynch deserved the Tony I dont care what you say.
Plus I will forever cherish my signed Playbill and my silly picture with Stephen Lynch.
Margie - Congrats on the engagement! What a special way to start a special new chapter in your life.
As for Constantine, love the blog entry. I'd planned to see him in the show on the 23rd so he could work the kinks out, but now I'm debating also coming a little earlier. Hmmm....
I'm also glad to see he's got a new flyer to go with the blog. Looks like he's a trooper when it comes to constructive criticism. Should serve him well in his career. (Although the theatre name still needs to be fixed. Oh well, can't win them all, I guess.)
