re: Message from Stephanie J. Block about recent absences

KJ, You can always get your money back since Steph probably won't be back and since her name is above WICKED you can get a refund if you're that upset about not seeing her.

I understand what you mean since I have seen Steph 6 times(and she was my first Elphie) but Lisa and Chelsea are well worth the price also. I saw both of them in the past two weeks and they DON'T disappoint.

I have heard of plenty of instances when people got refunds because either Stephanie or Annaleigh was out. Whether or not their names are above the title, I think the box office obliges anyway because they can take your ticket back and just resell it in a second. The cancellation line is there afterall.

re: Message from Stephanie J. Block about recent absences

Julie Reiber just announced on her website she joined the cast as the standby for Elphaba, beginning May 1 (tonight). Does that mean she'll be going on tonight, or is she covering Lisa for the time being?

re: Message from Stephanie J. Block about recent absences

I'm guessing that Julie's covering for Lisa. Lisa and Chelsea have been going on pretty much(well duh since Steph has been hurt...lol) and I know that Lisa wasn't feeling too well a couple of weeks ago. As much as I love Steph(she was my first Elphie) I really want to see Julie a couple of times.

re: Message from Stephanie J. Block about recent absences

So, We took our 14yo daughter and 13 yo niece on Wednesday the 30th. Now, they hadn't read this message board in regard to Fiyero's being a bit feminine, but they also felt as though he wasn't as masculine as Fiyero should be. Nothing to do with whether he's gay or not, (I couldn't say one way or another), but it's just Fiyero should be a real manly man. I'm sure a straight or gay man could play the part, and that's where good acting comes in. I don't think renthead hates himself as someone so ridiculously suggested. Seems he's pretty comfortable with himself. I wonder about the level of self acceptance of someone who gets so defensive and starts name calling, but that's just me.
BTW, Stephanie J Block wasn't there.

I saw Lisa on Wednesday and she was WONDERFUL. No complaints here.

re: Message from Stephanie J. Block about recent absences

I saw the Wicked matinee on Saturday. Still no Stephanie. Chelsea was on and she did pretty good. She had some truly stellar moments (her voice in "Defying Gravity" and "For Good" come instantly to mind). Brad Bass was also on as Fiyero. I thought he did a good job as well, plus he was really nice at the stage door. Annaleigh was absolutely wonderful. I'm so glad I got to see her before she leaves this week. Her "Popular" cracked me up. She is just so bubbly and full of energy. I also really enjoyed Ben Leibert's performance as Boq. He was definitely one of the highlights of the show as well.

I want to buy tickets to SJB's last.

Guesses whether or not she'll be back on?
