How long has she been out for? I'd like to catch Lisa in the role if possible. Do you think Lisa will still be on this weekend, or will Stephanie be back on?

Lisa has been going on a lot. Chelsea has been on a few times as well...but I think Lisa covers most of them. Lisa is awesome! You won't be dissapointed.
Get better soon, Stephanie

Well that explains why Stephanie J Block was not in it on Sunday. We saw it (won the lottery) and was a little dissapointed that she was not in it but the girl who was Elphaba was brilliant! Very good. And up close -- can I just say that I am in love with some of the legs of the cast members. Yum Yum!
"Whenever I get gloomy with the state of the world, I think about the arrivals gate at Heathrow Airport. General opinion's starting to make out that we live in a world of hatred and greed, but I don't see that. It seems to me that love is everywhere. Often it's not particularly dignified or newsworthy, but it's always there - fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, husbands and wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, old friends. When the planes hit the Twin Towers, as far as I know none of the phone calls from the people on board were messages of hate or revenge - they were all messages of love. If you look for it, I've got a sneaky feeling you'll find that love actually is all around."

Do you know if she'll be back on Thursday? I've been wanting to see Stephanie as Elphaba for three years. If she isn't on, I'm looking forward to seeing Lisa because I've heard nothing but good things about her.

It doesn't sound like even she knows exactly when she'll return. As she stated, she wants to get back asap, and is doing everything she can to heal.
I've never seen Lisa (except for that WICKED DAY clip from back in October) but everyone I know who has seen her - all of whom are huge Stephanie fans - LOVE Lisa. I have not read a bad thing about her.

All I can say is that Steph has the worst Wicked luck, coming back from her Honeymoon to a strike, getting stabed with a spear, spraining her ankle, she broke her ribs on tour. Damn!

Aww I hope she gets better! I love SJB. And I know she will try to perform as soon as possible...she's insanely dedicated to her craft and performances. It's great, and really honorable.

Has an Elphaba ever NOT injured herself?

Thank you for posting this. I'll be there tomorrow night!
It's been awhile since I've been to the Gershwin, isn't there a place right next to it for dinner? I may be mistaken.

She gets the worst luck when it comes to getting hurt and getting sick, huh? Stephanie is a trooper though, she'll be back as soon as she can. I wish her well. I had the fortune of seeing her twice as Elphaba, but I definitely wouldn't be disappointed if she was out and Lisa was on.

I saw Wicked for the first time almost two weeks ago with Stephanie in the leading role... she was amazing! In my humble-not-professional-meaning-don't-get-mad-at-me opinion, she was better than Idina Menzel (again, don't get mad at me!). I have sprained my ankle three times and know how painful it is - lots of luck to her!

Lisa is just as good as Stephanie J Block. (As is Annaleigh's standby in comparison to her) You will not be disappointed.
