Hahahahaha people will never learn. I hold ACTORS to high esteem not stupid influencers or pop stars (Nicole s) like we’ve seen them disappoint over the last year. But sure go ahead, wag your finger at the incredible Kristin Chenoweth. Some of you have truly terrible instincts about people.

Saw last nights 2nd preview. "Funniest thing since Oh Mary" was heard a few times in the lobby after the show. I wouldn't compare the shows at all, but I think we'll be hearing that a lot. It was hilarious. I'm not sure the point, and not one character had a redeeming quality, but you do not stop laughing the entire time. Feels like an A+ episode of a sitcom. Every joke, and there are millions of them, lands. Definitely second preview, still finding some timing and I'm sure there will be some cuts and tweaks, and the middle gets a little one note in tone and energy, but it's safe to say this will be a big crowd pleaser.

Thanks for the review. Sold. I’m seeing it tonight. Their ticketing website was glitching out all day today so I went to TKTS and picked up a super cheap ticket in a great location.

Are you idiots trying to get the country to hate us more????? If so, you’re doing a great job. All the jokes are based on current affairs or specific currently trending people, events or situations, which automatically means this show is dated as soon as the current production ends. How does the author think this is going to play 10 years from now, as opposed to Boys in the Band, which does not rely on snippy little insults to current events, and has been playing around the world since the 1960’s?????The jokes are not funny. The audience I was with did not start laughing (and even then, just a few laughs) until the halfway mark. I must say that all the jokes are basically catty insults so members here might enjoy it. I went into this enthusiastic for a great new gay play and exited in depression. Sad. Pathetic. Unfortunate. Especially since the actors are all fantastic.

What precisely were you expecting from a show called Messy White Gays? It sounds like it delivered exactly what the title promised?

No babe. It couldn’t be a page from the script because that script is completely incoherent. Any play that starts with two gay men beating the crap out of what looks like a crash test dummy, while pausing here and there to simulate having sex with the crash test dummy, and then proceeding to beat it to death…..any play that begins with this insane opening….can only go downhill from there. And it does. It’s a truly repulsive excuse for a play.

The run time last night was 75 minutes, not counting a typical 10 minute late start time. They even made a pre-show announcement that the run time was 75 minutes.

Caught this last night. Whatever violent opening that was described earlier isn't there anymore. The play opened with two guys over a dead body and got right to jokes. It's a slight play with funny actors playing unlikeable characters, but I laughed the entire time. Pete Zias steals the show and Drew Droege is great. Both had a few show stopping moments that got major applause. Fun show.

While I can’t say I laughed so hard I cried, I came closer to it than anything in quite a while. I’ll DEFINITELY be seeing this one again.
