This is their signature theater, it can’t be dark in the spring. What’s the rumor mill saying?

It would win against all the other garbage they are bringing in. But, as you and J said, it's going into the Roth so it's moot.

So you’re admitting that when you flipped out on me and others for no reason last week you were uninformed and wrong? Please keep that energy, maybe you don’t know everything and just because ppl have insight doesn’t mean we deserve your hostility.

It's a great show. It's not HAMILTON - so it's in the right place - and will fair better with a smaller house. They did right by the show.

I LOVE their schedule, especially the Tuesday matinees.

First preview is tonight! I was able to snag front row via TodayTix Rush. Anyone else going?

I'm going in a few weeks and just got this message: Due to production needs, Row A has been removed from the theater. Your seats have been moved to accommodate the change. Please reach out if you need further assistance. Apologies for the inconvenience!
So, my original seat was Row A seat 108 so now it's just the same seat in Row B.
Enjoy all!

Went last night. I think it goes without saying that the show itself is absolutely perfect in terms of its construction and its content. Brian and Nygel are doing absolutely amazing work and I remain in awe of what they accomplished with this show. (Especially Nygel, as he was fighting through a bit of vocal impediment last night due to lingering illness). There were also some hiccups with the live mix for the opening number and both guys played it off with absolute charisma.
HOWEVER, and this is a big however, the new staging is definitely an issue. Whereas at the Minetta, every seat was pretty much full view/unobstructed, here, the partial view house right seats are VERY obstructed - and you have to sit at an angle most of the show to watch it. Of course, the performers spend a good chunk of time in the visible field of view. But this new staging now put the obstructed aspects (mostly Nygel’s early songs) up as a projection on the stage right wall with the same psychedelic filter as other projections. Another downside is that this zone is also directly in the path of some very bright strobe/spot lights and so I did get hit in the eyes more than once. I would be wary of purchasing any seats numbered with even double digits.

Agree the sight lines are not good. The show does not play quite as well in it. Great show - but this already being papered (again) -- it's very niche.

Papered? The first week of previews is virtually sold out.

Quizking, so the rush is an obstructed front row?

I think it may just be best available. I played the rush (for comparison) on TT this morning and they offered me D3, which is left side near to the center.
I did raise a hackle with TodayTix though because the ticket at no point was marked as partial view and, considering I had a disc replacement in my neck about a month ago, if I knew my head was going to be turned for 90 minutes, I might have passed it up and waited for something better.

Yeah no, it's not. Trying to disparage art that you (excuse me, WE) aren't seeing is a bad look. Stick to midtown.

Apparently there were major tech issues at last night’s show. Brian Quijada posted on his Instagram story.

Please tell me the sight lines are suitable from Row F, seats 6 & 8…?

I don’t think you will have to rely on the projected screen as much. Usually sitting further back on a side seat gives a fuller view. If it were the double digit # seats, then I would worry a bit.

Brian Quijada just posted on Insta that, since both him and Nygel are headed to SXSW, both shows are going to be double understudy shows!
Alan Mendez made his debut in Brian’s track tonight, and Trent Lawson is debuting in Nygel’s track both shows tomorrow with Alan.

This is just as thrilling in its new home as it was at the Minetta Lane.
Innovative, original, and the last 20 minutes still pack an unexpected emotional punch. It's certainly the best new musical I saw last year (and so far in 2026). Don't miss it.
Two notes: my GOD, those seats are TIGHT. I literally have a crick in my neck this morning from sitting so uncomfortably - and I'm not particularly tall or heavyset. Second, it did seem like the majority of the seats in rows A-D on house right are indeed partial view. My view in F8 was perfectly clear, but I wouldn't sit much further to the right, if you can help it.

An amazing amount of energy and talent on that stage.
But if you are over 5’2 or have any neck issues, be warned: these seats and the way they are set up are a modern form of torture. Luckily it wasn’t sold out and quite a few of us were able to spread out but if I was stuck next to the guy who was literally a third of the way into my seat and personal space I probably would have walked out, it was that uncomfortable. I’m glad I was able to move but now my neck is a bit jacked up from the view! They should remove a few seats from each row. It’s just not right to do that to an audience.
