I don’t know if a transfer is imminent, but I have a feeling it may involve the release of the show for Audible.
Side Note: Their concert at 54 Below last night was ELECTRIC. Probably the most lit I’ve ever seen inside 54 Below
They're cleaning up after Obama.

if it transfers, will it slide in to this season or come in after their Pasadena run?
As I mentioned in another thread, if this somehow transferred this season, it would clean UP at the Tonys. No new musical opening on Broadway this year would be a threat.

I think someone said in another thread that all of the theatres are now booked this season once FEAR OF 13 was announced (since the Jeremy Jordan as Bobby Darin rumor seems more valid now that he has an exit date from Gatsby that would align with rehearsals - thus keeping a lock on the Circle.
Unless a smaller house suddenly opens up, I have a feeling it may wait until next season. I’m still wary about it moving to a larger house because it’s such an aural experience that a larger house may be a detriment, but I would love to see this in a house like the Music Box since there would be no issues with sight lines and it was designed intentionally for concerts and revues by Berlin. I’d love it if Roundabout picked it up for the Haimes for next season.

It’s a shame how lopsided next season will be compared to this one. Next season will be stacked with top tier musicals like Gun & powder, The Heart, Mexodus, Midnight in the Garden, Millions, Benjamin Button, all of which could win best musical if they were in this season.
Most of those are rumors and not confirmed for next season. Wanted is probably dead and Millions is not continuing after the horrible production in Atlanta.

Wanted is not dead, they have a house this fall. Word on the street is Mexodus is going to the Daryl Roth.
Nothing is confirmed, no theater is confirmed, and I will wait for the actual announcement, not something a friend of a friend of a friend of a cousin heard on a NYC street.
None of the shows Crusty Bagel/Flash/AssHat mentioned are official. Period.

Didn’t know you were the confirmation police. And hearing from producers who are friends of the lead producer is not just hearsay. But being you probably have no insider connections, your go to is to whine, like you just did.

Also Broadway Flash.

Ah yes, your friend of a friend of producer of .... Stop. Nothing has been confirmed, you don't know a thing, and your other slew of names (Crusty/Flash/Ensemble3934348384933) also don't know a thing. Your screen names always have the same boring personality and bullsh*t information, try something else with someone else as I'm done acknowledging you. Kiss Kiss.
Dang. BWW couldn't go more than 2 weeks with it's "No New BroadwayFlash Accounts" New Year's resolution!

Sutton, I know these boards are the highlight of your existence, since you probably live a particularly lonely life, but chill TF out. We are talking about theater here. This is not the pissing olympics. I hope my friend is right and you look foolish. And even if they aren't, who cares.
Go touch grass. Breathe a little. There are bigger things happening in the world than the next step of Mexodus.

The Hell's Kitchen closing announcement timing is interesting. Though the Shubert would be a ginormous house for this show. Though Mexodus feels like one of the only shows that could still open in time for Tony noms with that quick of a turnaround.

oh. my. dear. lord.
I want a MEXODUS transfer as much as the next person, but that is QUINTUPLE the size of the Minetta.

By the end of its run Mexodus was still not selling out. If Dead Outlaw taught Audible anything they'd transfer to another small space and be the hit they are.
The upside, of course, is that Mexodus would likely be the lowest-cost musical to hit Broadway in decades.

And is virtually guaranteed to win Best Musical. Unless The Lost Boys or Schmigadoon far exceeds expectations.
Mexodus is nice - but it wouldn't be guaranteed Best Musical even with what's available now or coming.
Considering how past music-focused shows have successfully performed at the Daryl Roth --- whether the non-traditional De La Guarda and Fuerza Bruta --- to Sandra Bernhard's concert residency and even In and of Itself where music played a subtle but important role --- I think it's a fine choice for any show where sound/acoustics are a major element.
And depending on the stage configuration, if it catches on and moves 300-400 seats a week successfully, no reason a 2026-27 season transfer uptown should be off the cards. I agree with the notion that producers seem to be taking time now more than previous seasons which to me is smart business / keeps the "Broadway is failing!" articles away from the mainstream. (Just my $0.02)
Approx 12-week spring Roth run being announced Tuesday. Mini tour after the Pasadena stint
We’ll get exact Off-Bway dates this week
