I don't know if this is really kosher to ask, but are there any recordings (audio or video) of Molly Shannon in Promises, Promises?

I can pretty much guarantee that there is at least one floating around. There always is.
You're right, this isn't kosher. In the old days when BWW was actually moderated, this thread would have been deleted instantly.
Not official (and legal) recordings, but yes... they do exist.
Say there are videos of her (and Katie) floating around somewhere, where do you think they would be? I mean, hypothetically.
Aww, she seems so sweet. :) Seeing how nice she is makes me want to see the show again. :P I saw it over the summer and was disappointed. The one saving grace was Katie, who totally deserved her Tony award.

How is she in the show? I haven't seen it with Katie so I have nothing to compare it to.

Yes, there are indeed recordings of her, but I'm not positive if the recorder specified if it was to be shared or not...

Well, I didn't necessarily mean illegal recordings, even pro shots would be nice.
Caught Promises Promises (Nov 30)for a third time yesterday.
What can I say people keep inviting me and I love the show.
Ken Land was on for Tony Goldwyn and I thought Ken Land was better. Nothing againsts Goldwyn's performance.. this just seemed better sung and acted and more believable.
Molly Shannon. Funny on Saturday Night Live. Awful as the Eulalie McCechnie Shinn in Music Man.
I'm sure she's very nice in person. But what was proven from Shannon's performance is what a comic genius Katie Finneran was in the role. Molly's laughs or cleverness don't come close to Finneran. There were many laughts missing where Katie Finneran got laughs.
Over all. A serviceable job by Shannon but nothing earth shattering or ground breaking or clever. I'm sure people who never saw Finneran wouldn't know the difference but boy there is a huge difference.
Molly gets a nice recognition hand and does a serviceable job in the role. But she is not nearly as good as Finneran in the role.
Kristen has gotten even better in the role.(Actually I always liked her in this.) Sean was amazing as always.

She was so nice at the stage door when I saw the show. She said that she just got picked up for a new TV show or something like that. I only saw the show with her and I really liked her in it. She was better with her acting than her singing, but she knows how to hold a note. It was really a fun experience.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Molly Shannon. I didn't get to see Katie so in terms of performance comparison, I have nothing but I do love everything about Molly and thought Molly sounded better than Katie. I even got to meet Molly at the stage door afterwards and that was very exciting. Interestingly, I had a flip camera and was recording her but the stage door manager asked me to turn it off which I thought was strange. No, that isn't my youtube video though she is just as sweet and nice on the copy I have.
