Virtually all the principal roles at Marriott Lincolnshire are being played by New York-based actors.
Who are they? I'd heard some rumors.

Yeah, I hadn't heard about casting yet. As per the theatre, its not announced. However, I'm quite excited. Marriott generally puts on good shows. I hope to catch this when I'm home over spring break.

Good call, Lizzie. Looks like I won't be missing that production.
I'm also curious who is doing Les Miz at The Marriott. I had assumed Michael Lindner was at least being considered for Valjean--did they decide to just hire an ex-Broadway Valjean like so many other regional productions have been doing?

Michael Lindner is great. Too bad. Kelzama...any chance you could impart those rumors to us?

No regional production for my area next year, maybe in 2009. I am sure my city will get one at some point. Still, I am looking forward to casting news from all these productions. I remember Josh Young from the tour, he was one of my favorties in the role of Marius, that I have seen live.

I saw the cast list for Marriott. Kathy Voytko is Fantine. Chicago actors inthe ensemble include Cathy Lord, Cory Goodrich, George Keating. The actress playing Mme. Thernardier is Chicago based (her name escapes me at the moment - she played Domina in A FUNY THING HAPPENED... a couple of years ago). The rest of the principals are from New York. I did not recognize any of the names, but they all had New York/New Jersey home addresses.
The cast list did not list who is playing Thernardier, and did not include the children.
Maybe they'll give Lindner Thenardier as a consolation prize. He's Chicago's leading musical theatre guy right now, it would be almost strange not to include him in the production, which contains several roles he could play, even if they're giving Valjean to a Broadway person. Michael's a nice guy too. I met him on the El once.
