^ Is Garett Hawe leaving the show? I know he was out for a vacation-- and I'm surprised they haven't already added a vacation swing since the cast members are now taking them. Updated On: 10/10/12 at 10:25 AM
I mean, they added Julian in August so they probably didn't have a need for another swing until the craziness of last week happened. I didn't think Garett was leaving but "broadwayworldreader" mentioned he heard rumors a few posts ago.
Just curios to know with the addition of LaVon to the company: did they purposely cast an African American woman in the role of Medda or is it just purely coincidence? I wonder seeing as both understudies are Caucasian. (How is LaVon in the role, by the way)
Anyone know who is replacing Thayne Jasperson? And Ryan Steele at the end of January? I know Hogan is apparently coming back for some reason, but not sure how the cast will shift.
Didn't get to catch Hogan while he was on for Andy, so I guess I'll get to see him! Hoping someone new is replacing Ryan, though, just to keep it fresh.
Ryan will be doing double duty with Matilda & Newsies for the next couple of weeks before he leaves. Hogan is coming back in Thayne's spot; I saw him as Romeo & thought he was good. Corey's getting married this coming weekend so he might be out a show or two. I really want to see Mike on for Jack...
Is JP still the vacation swing? Any chance he'll take over for Ryan?
I've heard rumblings of Deguzman, the swing replacing Ryan- who I will greatly miss! I hope he is featured in Matilda, he's too good not to be! I understand from an acting standpoint wanting to move on to new projects. I too, would love to see Mike as Jack!
Wouldn't be surprised if Julian was bumped up to Specs so that JP could stay on as a permanent swing. Was hoping he would replace Aaron Albano eventually since he makes a great Finch, though.
Also interesting being that Hogan is so young and one of the small character's in the Jojo track is Darcy, an older adult and Thayne easily passed as both. Guess it doesn't matter that much.
Any confirmation on whether or not Corey Cott is out this weekend or who the understudy most likely to go in would be? I'll be in the city, might be interesting to see a new take on the role, and catch Steele one last time!
Apparently at today's matinee when Ryan was out for Matilda rehearsal and Julian was on for Specs, Jess Le Protto did the fouette turns at the end of Seize the Day? Wonder why whoever is on for Specs wouldn't do everything in the track as long as it's not a split track/cut show. Hm
I saw Julian as Specs a few weeks ago. However, Jess was also out (JP was on) and Michael was on for both Thayne & Iain. If I remember correctly, Julian did them...
Sidenote: I find it kinda fascinating that three of the four guys who covered Jack on Broadway were engaged/got married while in the show. :)
Ok, fansies assemble! LOL! Just wondering if anyone has any further info on understudies for the weekend. I tried calling the theatre, but the message said try back during normal business hours, strange...
