Does anyone know when Darren is leaving and who might be replacing him? Have family coming to town in the late Spring...
Don’t know when or if Darren and Helen are leaving, but I’d love to see Jordan Fisher and Laufey replace.

Yes, or Chad Kimball and Laura Osnes.

Im pretty sure by even suggesting this you are revealing yourself to be a member of the Ku Klux Klan.

Why? As someone who uses sarcasm on the regular I can’t understand the “ humor” in this post? And blaxx’s initial response, who’s the queen of sarcasm on BWW, responded with sarcasm too but to better effect.. but still to blaxx, why? Both people named are of Asian descent so if the whole ABF casting controversy is the reason I don’t get the “joke”
honestly I think this is actually a role JF would be good in? And Laufey could be great in theatre based in her music ( preferably in composition imo) but she could also be good in the role in my opinion…,
What about Eric Nam?

Jordan Fisher is of Asian descent? He says he is of Nigerian, Cambodian, English, Polynesian, Italian, Greek and Scandinavian origin. So is the 1/8 Cambodian enough to get him past the identity police? I dont know the rules, forgive me.
To be clear, I think Fisher is a tremendous talent and would be phenomenal in this role but I also thought Feldman was well cast, so I am a white supremacist, pay no attention to me.

Looks from her Instagram story like Laufey is at the show tonight, so maybe…

Is Jason Gotay Asian? He could be a great Oliver.

If Laufey actually wanted to do the show, I think she’d be a better fit replacing Dez Duron as a gender-swapped “Jill” Brentley.
Some of us believed Criss was returning briefly, to play the show only through the holidays. But apparently that was conjecture. Not that the website was always accurate about what company ticket buyers were purchasing seats to see (infamously, Criss's name didn't disappear from advance sales until just before he left; I know because I checked it often last summer). If memory serves, the show ultimately stayed near 100% capacity during Feldman's run, albeit with lower b.o. His run proved that the show itself sells seats, but more via the booth(s) and fewer premium. This winter Broadway will operate with a dreadful deficit in new musicals, only making this one more likely a beneficiary.
I'm not going to weigh in much on the politics of casting in these roles. I'm just gonna say that the elevator pitch for this show in its style, content and presentation is "musical Kdrama." So even if it's not something we're legally or ethically obligated to maintain, a primarily Asian cast makes sense creatively. It's part of the aesthetic and the sensibility.
If I were these producers, I'd have the wikipedia page for Kpop Demon Hunters open and I'd be calling the three members of Huntr/x AND the three voice actors who play the characters, and seeing if they're interested. Probably ditto for the male leads as well. These are people who were C listers but have suddenly rocketed to stardom and relevance: getting one of them in the show now before they can demand Hollywood celebrity salaries is good for everyone.
how about we just get the muppets to play all the roles
With them both leaving in February, we will probably know in a few weeks?

I agree with this. The show is the star here, so maybe they can find "names" down the line, but no need to do so now, and I hope the incoming actors are Korean.
(but i dont think its a hate crime if they aren't, is all).
and fwiw i would definitely see this show again with new leads, i imagine this is the kinda show where new actors change the whole dynamic.
