Alright, I am just going to come out and say it...did the artist not notice that Norm is black?

I think they could have done a better job with the portrait.
I like the message he wrote! Very clever
GAWD! His drawing is the same complexion as Shirley Jones!!

The Sardi's portraits have been really unimpressive for about five or six years. Norm and Esparza could be brothers!
Well... now he can get a cab..

LOL.
Maybe if we get the artist to draw Chris Jackson, it'll turn out looking like Norm Lewis.
And what's with that puff collared shirt? He looks like he stepped out of an old Star Trek episode.
That portrait looks more like Chris Jackson or a hispanic boy band member than Norm Lewis. Looks nothing like him. The features are wrong, the skin color is wrong. The artist needs to go back to art school.
Who is the person doing these recent "Portraits"??
The old one's were actually funny while still looking like the person. These ones really look like some 11th Grade art student drawing one of their classmates in a way not to offend them.
Yes, they used to be closer to caricatures. Now they're uninteresting and bland. Like you say, they look like they're trying not to offend the person.
"GAWD! His drawing is the same complexion as Shirley Jones!!"
Yeah, what is that about? Not to mention, they've taken an absolutely gorgeous and adorable man, who couldn't be mistaken for anybody else, and made him look like a generic 1960s soap star who might have auditioned for the role of Major Don West in Lost in Space but lost the role to Mark Goddard.

Wouldn't you think they would show it to the actor before they presented it so that the actor could comment on it?

I think this is the worst one yet. I understand not wanting to offend by exaggerating facial features, but at least get the skin tone right!
Also, "exaggerating" is not the same thing as "including." There are so many talented artists who could do a better job than this current person.
It would need to be a little more cross-eyed to be Andy Cohen.
Wow,
That is nothing like him. I wonder what he really thought at the unveiling. Or what they all said when they got back to the theatre. Yikes.
I know it's more difficult to get the right complection of black person because you can easily loose all the facial features and there is a ton more shading, but this is just uncalled for. He could of atleast drew in his facial hair to help hide the complection coloring issues.

They should have chosen one of those Asian men who draw on ironing boards on 42nd Street.
Congrats, Sardi's!
YOU FAIL.

These portraits have been awful for a few years now. Can they please just hire me?
They turned sexual chocolate into bland vanilla, SMDH.
Haven't been inside Sardi's in years. Do all the portraits of people of color look this bad?
