would be curious to know if they're back to selling SRO due to the popularity of JCM.
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.
I've been a lurker here for a while, keeping an eye out for all the Hedwig news. Can't wait to finally see JCM this week!!!!
I am planning on going to the Friday night 10PM show this week and have front row balcony tickets. I've decided I want to take the plunge and get orchestra seats instead, so if anyone is interested in decent but cheaper seats, I'm just trying to get face value for them. Send me a PM if interested...I would have to pick up at will call and meet you outside the theatre before the show. I hope I'm not breaking any forum rules here.
Yup! I had to change by tickets from 2/21 to 2/14 and had no problem with the box-office. They told me they honor refunds/exchanges for tickets with insurance (and they may honor exchanges without insurance at their discretion).
10 or 11 years ago my stepdaughter bought her Mom and I the DVD of the movie. It sat there for months, me thinking, whatever it was there was a guy dressed as a girl and I don't like rock and roll so I was going to hate it. Boy was I wrong. Have fun tonight, it's gonna be crazy that first time he comes down the platform. Tonight will be in-effin-credible.
Is the show closing after his engagement? I saw him a few times during the original off broadway run. It would be neat to be able to do some side by side comparison thru what is out there and what will soon probably be out there.
In the NY Times, a producer said they expected JCM would extend or another Hedwig would be announced... although with only an 8-week run, they will have to say something about either case soon.
I'm going tonight! Won the ticket lottery. 36 tickets sold. Standing room line very long. I don't know how many of those were sold. I was told four. I'll report back later!

Totally incredible performance, I've never seen anything like it. The truth and honesty and love he brings to it is beyond compare. I saw this last week with Michael C Hall and that felt like a tribute by comparison! He seems to go off script more than Michael did and he's just amazing. Sorry this isn't too eloquent, still blown away by one of the best nights in the theatre I've ever had.
One report I saw on Twitter said there were five separate standing ovations throughout the show. Wow.
I am a firm believer in serendipity- all the random pieces coming together in one wonderful moment, when suddenly you see what their purpose was all along.
