anyways, OMG, norbert is AMAZING. i'm SO GLAD that i saw it a second time just for him! wow, wow, wow, wow, WOW.
well, firstly, he has a beautiful ass. can i say that? haha. it's smooth and...perfect looking! lol, and actually, my UNCLE was the one to point that out first! (and no, HE'S NOT GAY!) haha, sorry if that was wierd. but, i figured it would be okay, b/c...this IS a norb love thread!
i posted my review/story over on the greg jbara love thread if any of you want to read it! (please, do!) if you don't want to go all the way over there, i'll just say that norb has some really good improv skills! (not a surprise, though!) also, after the show, backstage, i saw him walking across the stage, and i said "Hi norb!" he smiled back and left to go sign autographs and what not! such a talented guy, that man!

So, this is totally random, but I just stumbled across this thread from a google search. I was skimming through it, but got bogged down pretty early on. (Seeing as it's 103 pages long, that's not hard to imagine!). I've never seen NLB perform, but I love his voice. AMAZING! Really, I was just wondering if anyone could tell me how I could get ahold of NLB singing One Song Glory. I found one copy, but it was so scratchy that I could hardly hear him. I want to do a test...him or Adam (who I also love, but have never seen)? hmm... Thanks!

thespian geek - How am I supposed to know if NLB is better if I can't hear him? I suppose I'll have to take everyone's word for it... how vexing!

i'd have to agree that Norb would be perfect for Passion.
like Broadway Betty pointed out, hes done it all...but the most convincing one is the fact that hes done "the last five years" he has some sad, happy, and intense songs in there. and he was FABULOUS in it. so i think he could easily do Passion and be great in it.

i found a recording online of norb singing "one song glory" and its amazing.
i'm wish i remembered when i saw him in rent..but i was like, 9 or 10 (don't remember what time of the year i went) in 96 so i know i saw him, i just don't remember. cuz i was super young. but whatever. i have recordings of it, so its all good

You don't, by chance, remember where you found a version of him singing the song, do you? The only one I've been able to track down is very scratchy so I can barely hear him. Every other link I've found is broken. The sites are too old, I suppose.
Awwww...how sweet; you're welcome. Just spreading the Norbert love. Isn't it adorable? Did you see the martini pics on broadway dot com?
Very cute!
Oh my gosh, Patronus, that pic is HYSTERICAL.
Norbie is so fabulous.

Why aren't you guys posting here? Gah.
First off...look at my avatar!
Second off...keep your eyes and ears open for an OFFICIAL Norbert site.
I believe so, wendy.
I'm glad I got to see John this past summer. I honestly felt honored to see him perform live. I adore him.

So, if any of you have ideas for the Norbert site, please let me or SirLiir (Ryan) know!
Thanks Wendy. More content coming soon as further refinement commences. I want to hear from Patronus now.
Happy Birthday Norbert, Tomorrow!
Hope Norb had a Happy Bithday!
Last chance to celebrate people.
*dances*
Don't forget to come check out the Flash version and sign the guestbook. We (Liz, Carol, and I) have also sent Norbert the contract to make the site be his official one for sure. So, with any luck, he will give the okay and perhaps establish the official NLB fanclub!
Boy this thread has been buried. Here's a jumpstart.

Oh this thread is soooo far back. BUMP.
I just got the Thou Shalt Not recording yesterday. Anyone else have it? It's a very enjoyable cd and Norbert sounds incredible on it. Not to mention the rest of the cast is amazing.

i saw it with David Ayers. he was o.k, now i'm going to see it with Derrick Williams (i dont think thats how you spell it)(whatever)iv'e heard he's pretty bad though.
Shall we bump this up given Norbert has left Broadway for the time being?

When I saw pictures after the Tony Awards, I thought he looked exhausted and in need of a three month vacation instead of a three month tour.
DRS doesn't arrive in St. Louis until late March but I doubt he would want to be in the St. Louis show even if he's rested. His brother who is an actor was in a recent production of Shakespeare's Julius Caesar and, in an interview he commented on how difficult it is to play in front of the hometown crowd with friends and family watching.
This thread really needs to be revived. Norbert is way too talented and awesome for his thread to be buried.
While I'm here (again), I'd like to express my envy toward those who are seeing Norbert on tour. I'm seeing DRS on tour next year but he'll already have left (and hopefully be working on another project). I'm still looking forward to the show on tour, although much of my DRS love came from Norbert and Sherie's presence.
