anyways, OMG, norbert is AMAZING. i'm SO GLAD that i saw it a second time just for him! wow, wow, wow, wow, WOW.
well, firstly, he has a beautiful ass. can i say that? haha. it's smooth and...perfect looking! lol, and actually, my UNCLE was the one to point that out first! (and no, HE'S NOT GAY!) haha, sorry if that was wierd. but, i figured it would be okay, b/c...this IS a norb love thread!
i posted my review/story over on the greg jbara love thread if any of you want to read it! (please, do!) if you don't want to go all the way over there, i'll just say that norb has some really good improv skills! (not a surprise, though!) also, after the show, backstage, i saw him walking across the stage, and i said "Hi norb!" he smiled back and left to go sign autographs and what not! such a talented guy, that man!
no..no i'd agree. norbert has a WONDERFUL butt lol at intermission of the show my cousin goes "ali, are you in heaven!? you just saw butz's butt!!!! the butt of butz!" and on and on and on.. it was awesome.
So, this is totally random, but I just stumbled across this thread from a google search. I was skimming through it, but got bogged down pretty early on. (Seeing as it's 103 pages long, that's not hard to imagine!). I've never seen NLB perform, but I love his voice. AMAZING! Really, I was just wondering if anyone could tell me how I could get ahold of NLB singing One Song Glory. I found one copy, but it was so scratchy that I could hardly hear him. I want to do a test...him or Adam (who I also love, but have never seen)? hmm... Thanks!
i'd have to agree that Norb would be perfect for Passion. like Broadway Betty pointed out, hes done it all...but the most convincing one is the fact that hes done "the last five years" he has some sad, happy, and intense songs in there. and he was FABULOUS in it. so i think he could easily do Passion and be great in it.
i found a recording online of norb singing "one song glory" and its amazing. i'm wish i remembered when i saw him in rent..but i was like, 9 or 10 (don't remember what time of the year i went) in 96 so i know i saw him, i just don't remember. cuz i was super young. but whatever. i have recordings of it, so its all good
You don't, by chance, remember where you found a version of him singing the song, do you? The only one I've been able to track down is very scratchy so I can barely hear him. Every other link I've found is broken. The sites are too old, I suppose.
Don't forget to come check out the Flash version and sign the guestbook. We (Liz, Carol, and I) have also sent Norbert the contract to make the site be his official one for sure. So, with any luck, he will give the okay and perhaps establish the official NLB fanclub!
I just got the Thou Shalt Not recording yesterday. Anyone else have it? It's a very enjoyable cd and Norbert sounds incredible on it. Not to mention the rest of the cast is amazing.
i saw it with David Ayers. he was o.k, now i'm going to see it with Derrick Williams (i dont think thats how you spell it)(whatever)iv'e heard he's pretty bad though.
When I saw pictures after the Tony Awards, I thought he looked exhausted and in need of a three month vacation instead of a three month tour.
DRS doesn't arrive in St. Louis until late March but I doubt he would want to be in the St. Louis show even if he's rested. His brother who is an actor was in a recent production of Shakespeare's Julius Caesar and, in an interview he commented on how difficult it is to play in front of the hometown crowd with friends and family watching.
This thread really needs to be revived. Norbert is way too talented and awesome for his thread to be buried.
While I'm here (again), I'd like to express my envy toward those who are seeing Norbert on tour. I'm seeing DRS on tour next year but he'll already have left (and hopefully be working on another project). I'm still looking forward to the show on tour, although much of my DRS love came from Norbert and Sherie's presence.
