Do you have some overpowering urge to see tumbleweed blowing through the streets of New York City?

Let's see...
42nd Street out, Company in. With Hugh Jackman as Bobby, just because. :)
Or...
Phantom of the Opera out, Follies in.
Bombay Dreams out, West Side Story in.
Beauty and the Beast out, Sweeney Todd in.
Thoroughly Modern Millie out...Taboo back in, with a revised book.
Edit: Or Urinetown anywhere. It shouldn't have closed. Oh, and Popa: sad but true. *sigh*

Kick out: POTO, The Lion King, and Bombay Dreams
Throw in: Wild Party (either one) Secret Garden and Grand Hotel (all newly looked at, perhaps not altered but perhaps? just a little? a new song or something... just for fun!)

Posted: 6/16/04 at 5:07pmOoh, I didn't think about Secret Garden or The Wild Party! Those are good ones!

PS- I would put in the Lippa Wild Party for Rent. And since Aida's closing anyway, might as well stick in parade ![]()
I'd also close Golda's Balcony and put in First Lady Suite with Mary Testa, Julia Murney, and the rest of the cast from the Transit Group revival.

Posted: 6/16/04 at 5:40pmFirstly, I'd toss out Phantom (its time is up) for A Chorus Line. Next, Bombay Dreams (definitley) for anything (I guess for South Pacific). Also, The Boy From Oz (after Hugh leaves) for Bye, Bye Birdie or Annie.

Bombay Dreams - Ragtime (this show should have run for decades)
The Lion King - Footloose (with a revised book, this show would rock)
