PBS Announces Airdates for Broadway’s FALSETTOS, INDECENT, HOLIDAY INN & More!
I see that Prince of Broadway was replaced!!!! Friday nights this fall are going to be awesome!
Starts tomorrow with "She Loves Me"! Will anyone else be watching?
PBS' full fall schedule can be found here.
Also, here's a sneak peak of "Ilona" from She Loves Me (I adore this show more than I can feasibly articulate).

I'll be tuning in for She Loves Me (DVR set) and Holiday Inn
I am a weirdo that plans on watching both this and the RuPaul's Drag Race announcement tomorrow. Can't wait!
I see that Prince of Broadway was replaced!!!!
It wasn’t the show itself but a documentary/profile of Hal Prince’s career using clips from the current revue throughout it.

5 minutes in and I far prefer the direction and choices She Loves Me more than Falsettos. Not sure if they had more cameras, but I like the wide angle where you can see the whole stage, also like how they’re showing the whole show with Audience reaction and not fading out between songs like Falsettos did in places.
Yes, She Loves Me is a delight!

They probably did have more cameras, as I believe She Loves Me was originally filmed for BroadwayHD
I really loved this production of She Loves Me. Benanti's just stunning. Too bad we may never see her Eliza Dolittle.

I saw the original BroadwayHD showing. It was a live broadcast from Studio 54 - no special close-up cameras, no cut-ins, no do-overs.
I missed the broadcast tonight due to other commitments. Is there another way to view it?

Can't you usually watch on the PBS website?
Truly delightful. What an excellently assembled cast in such a joyful show.
I watched She Loves Me tonight and, for a personal reason that I'm not going to go into -- nothing about the production, which was great! -- it's not a show that I want in my life. I bought the cast recording a while ago -- the 2016 one, Benanti/Krakowski/Levi -- and hadn't listened to it yet. Anyone want it? First person to message me your name and mailing addie, I'll send you the CD.

Not going to lie, I also don't love the score - it's fine but not one I'd listen to for fun. However, how can you not love the musical and this particular cast and production as a whole. This was my second time watching - I wish I could have caught it live - and I was smiling throughout. Its ability to bring me just a bit of lighthearted joy amidst the problems of the real world is reason enough for me to watch and love... but to each their own.

Jane Krakowski was the star of this for me. She needs to be back on Broadway ASAP.

Huh? What are you talking about? I have on DVD the original livestream performance and there were indeed close-ups, different camera angles, etc.
The Thursday performance was live streamed but the previous day, both the 2pm matinee and 8pm Wednesday performances were filmed. The version now being used by BroadwayHD, and what PBS broadcast, is edited from these 3 performances, the live streamed performance being the main performance used mostly.

Are you sure you like musicals?

I do - very much! But I will cop to being more of a contemporary/pop/rock opera kind of gal. I didn't say I hated the music, and I enjoy it in connection with the show itself. I just don't "love" it and wouldn't listen to it on its own. That's all. Perhaps I worded it more strongly than intended.

Or perhaps something in the story (which deals with both adultery and suicide) hits a little too close to home. No need to be catty about it.
