Is there any point to running show until the SJP and Matthew are both back and healthy? I hope they feel better soon. Even the mild covid cases can be hard on the voice and leave a person coughing for weeks after. Wishing the cast a speedy recovery.
I think they can run the show with one of them and a standby. But I have to wonder if other cast members have also tested positive? That could also be adding to more cancellations.
They might as well add one more performance on July 3rd matinee and have that be its final performance given how busy 4th of July weekend tends to be in NYC area.

Im going to hazard a guess that Michael tested positive since SJP was coughing on stage with him that night. BA1 through 5 are the most easily transmissable variants.
I think they might go with Broderick and Erin Dilly tomorrow if the rest of the cast is negative as well.

The csr from the Hudson that I spoke with yesterday said Broderick is back on the 16th. She speculated that SJP might be back that night as well but I don’t think she had any official info. So that night could be with Erin Dilly if SJ has not recovered.

It was pretty irresponsible of SJP to take the stage when she was clearly symptomatic knowing Matthew had recently tested positive. Where were union protocols?

We have tickets for Sunday. It’s our first trip back to NYC since January 2020 (we had 14 shows canceled in 2020 ugh). If SJP can’t perform I hope they grant refunds. She’s the sole reason my wife wants to see this.
If it does we’ll grab Company or How I Learned To Drive (more shows we had tickets to for 2020 ugh) tickets. We see Six and Funny Girl Saturday. Hopefully those don’t get hit with covid …

They will HAVE to offer refunds if she is not performing as she is above the title, so don't worry (though she should be back by Saturday I'm guessing?). I'm going in May, and, like your wife, SJP is my sole reason for seeing this. I will definitely be getting a refund if she is out.

Did anyone else get to see Erin Dilly last night? Or is going tonight? I loved her performance and I'm so happy she's on. The community supporting her so publicly is touching. She's such a gem to watch onstage.
I won two lottery tickets for tonight’s performance not realizing SJP was out. If anyone wants to see the show tonight let me know if you want to buy my tickets. Thanks.

Bamboozled? It's been on the national news all week that they were both out with Covid -- so you'd kind of have to have been living under a rock to not know. Why not suck it up (for $39 bucks) and see it?
That being said, I'll gladly take the tickets off of your hands (gratis, of course).

I won (2) tickets to Plaza Suite lottery for tonight, but only taking one ticket! Selling my second ticket at cost ($40). LMK!
I saw today's matinee. What a long, dated, and stale piece. I felt every minute of the almost three hour run time. Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick are fine I supposed, but absolutely nothing to write home about. It was a slog, and I was ready to crawl onstage and bang that damn door down myself during act three just to wrap the show up already.

I think you are in the minority with your opinion on this one. The day I saw it, people were leaving the theatre raving about it. The 2 stars made the best of the material in a very big way. Not for everyone and granted, some of Simons material is long winded, but still very funny.

Matthew Broderick returns to the West End stage following his acclaimed run in The Starry Messenger in 2019. Plaza Suite will mark Sarah Jessica Parker’s West End debut.
I have a feeling, with the talk of them filming this on Broadway that never happened, that it will now happen in London.
