They also want BIG names like Sean hayes and Kristin to fillt he seats

Hayes and Chenoweth, while they are 'names', are not BIG names. An example of BIG names would Jackman and Craig. Or Julia Roberts. Or Daniel Radcliffe. Hayes and Chenoweth will not sell out the Broadway theater eight times a week.

I would think Hayes has the bigger gay following.
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

I'm talking about BIG names for THEATRE GOERS! Chenoweth has a HUGE gay following and I'm sure Sean Hayes does too.

Right, huge gay following. I totally missed that one.

I also love how you relate theatre goers with the gay following.

Yes beautywickedlover, believe it or not, there are straight people who enjoy theater. I happen to be one of them.

Hayes and Chenoweth might not sell out a theater doing The Gin Game but Hayes and Chenoweth singing Burt Bacharach songs and delivering Neil Simon one liners might (although it probably would have been an easier sell five or ten years ago).

I'm straight too and I'm a male. I like theatre, but only certain shows. I like classics like "West Side Story," "Sound of Music," and "Guys & Dolls." and "Phantom of the Opera." 90's and 2000's shows I like are "Wicked," "Beauty & the Beast," "The Lion King," "Mary Poppins," "Shrek the Musical," "Hairspray," and "Mamma Mia."

The people who go to theatre ALOT though are usually gay. Kristin and Sean have that kind of following.

None of us know why they picked this theatre. It may be that it was the first one avaible or that the stage was right for it. I'm straight and I LOVE theatre. There's nothing wrong with that. Anyway, I'm anxious to hear if Kristin will sing the song "I'll Never Fall in Love Again." I've heard Dionne Warwick's version many times and loved it and it will be great to hear if Kristin sings it.

I detect a hint of jealousy among posters here. Already jumping the gun and prejudging and offering opinions on the location of this production, the seating, the music, the "miscasting" without any merit to go by since this production has not even gotten to the rehearsal stage let alone the previews. And posters can leave out the gay thing which by the way is discriminatory and prejudicial.

Sean Hayes and Krisin Chenoweth are professional actors with a very extensive musical background. Both of them will do a wonderful job and this production may be a limited run type of production and not a 2 or 3 year long thing. Maybe a year or less!

Both Sean and Kristin ARE marquee names with huge followings and will do just fine in selling the show! They are big attractions.

I will wait for further information about this production that will be forthcoming, I am sure of that.

I am a loyal and dedicated Will and Grace supporter of the cast both during the run of the show and afterwards too. I am 100% suppoortive of Sean Hayes. You go Sean!

I agree about all the comments about the theater being too big. There aren't any other theaters available or ones that will become available? Although I know the chances of them switching may be slim (although it has happened before, like with Next to Normal).

I love LindaTNo1's posts because she always seems to insinuate that because there are *professional* people involved in front or behind the scenes they know what they are doing, but never actually takes into account whether actors are right for the roles, producers are smart in their decisions, etc.

But I admire her positive attitude. I'm sure that if Ethel Merman had been given the chance, her Maria Von Trapp would have been wonderful because she was THE professional.

hmm eric mccormack is inspired choice. however, i will be there to see kristin and sean in a great show that was very very successful. and only a few have mentioned the classic bacharach score. it is time to have this revived and i'm hoping for the turkey lurkey choreo as well. can't wait for this.
