They don't share a dressing room. It's not like they're together from the minute they arrive at the theater until the minute they leave.

If you doubt that they had their disputes while working together, you may need a reality check. Without personally knowing either woman, you could see how much their personalities clash.
The article is blowing it out of proportion to make a headline. Is it so hard to believe that Chenoweth left to explore new projects?

This article made me giggle. Do i believe it? *shrugs* wouldnt shock me if it was true. Wouldnt shock me if it wasnt true.
I do see that it is possible for there to be alot of tension. We have arguements over who is the "lead" in the show. Putting them both up for Tony nomination probably did help ease any tension if there was any to begin with. If there wasnt any, i can see it creating some.
Does this remind anyone (some of the older posters - as in been posting longer) of the ever popular thread if Idina slapped Kristin and if it was on purpose? oy vey!
Also, wouldnt it be a better idea for the writer to do this article while Kristin was still in the role? She is gone now, does it really matter?

I wouldn't believe any of this BS. It's the NEW YORK POST! They're a complete tabloid paper and this rumor is a complete disgrace to the two very talented women, because even if they didn't get along it shouldn't affect other people. whoopdeedoooo! I can honestly say that I wouldn't care as long as the show wasn't affected.

Really? Because your post reads as if it were written by somebody heavily invested in the gals being bosom buddies off-stage.

This was a completely ridiculous article. Oh, and yes, I put great faith in a newspaper that cannot even spell Kristin's name correctly.

That clears it up. They misspelled her name. No way this story can be true. *rolls eyes*

No, I was not at all implying that the article was false due to a misspelling. I was simply saying that it is difficult to believe that a article would go into print without the verification the spelling of the actress' names. I just found it very unprofessional. Come on Rathnait, my fellow General Hospital fan, don't dog on me!

You guys, these stories have been all over town for months. Believe them or not, but everyone knows they don't get along. Shocked at how convincing their display was pre- and post-Tonys.

Exactly. The reason? What they are talking about in today's gossip happened a very long time ago. That's why the talk has "been around for months." So much has changed, and so much of what they are implying just never was. Joel basically said their relashionship had a rocky period and they worked it out. Nothing too shocking.

hmmn, sounds like BS to me.
this is a quote from a playbill article in 10/2003:
The friendship that unfolds onstage at the Gershwin Theatre echoes the real-life friendship that has developed between Menzel and Chenoweth. "I like Idina so much that it's hard for me to be mean to her," says Chenoweth. "I have to put my feelings aside. But when the curtain comes down after she's flown at the end of the first act, and she's stuck up in the air waiting to come down, she's all alone. So I always wait for her and touch her just so she knows we're in this together."

So 66 posts into the thread, I finally actually READ the Page Six story, only to find that we're talking about THE SLAP again. OMG...this is SO dejá vu.
And wickedboy...because a PR blurb in a Playbill from last fall has quotes about how swell each one thinks the other is, you think that means no trouble could have developed in River City? C'mon. Jeesh.

Not to dig up old... dirt, but what WAS the deal with the alleged slap? The thought of a woman purposely slapping another woman in a neck brace, on stage, just made me giggle. It's a little absurd sounding I suppose. Anyone lucky enough to witness this spectacle?

I'm not sure if anyone has brought this up yet, but the one thing we should take into consideration here is that this story appeared in THE NEW YORK POST!! It's as close to yellow journalism as any major paper can get. There's been more BS "reported" in the last few years by this publication than I can count. I'm sure there may have been some disputes betwen the 2 during their run together - but as soon as I heard that the story was from the Post I immediately dismissed it. hey friends - just my take on this one (not a Wicked stepford) but this paper is an absolute joke

After reading this whole thread, it seems there are more people who want this article to be completely true than those who don't. IMO, it's the gossip column in the New York Post...enough said.
