Page Six Kristin/Idina Story

That's probably the most ridiculous thing I ever read...if it is true, the pair of them should grow-up. However, it sounds like something made up to me. The tension they had to act on stage made them hate each other in real life? C'mon--that's just dumb and immature.

Wow. I never thought of it as nothing more than a fable here on the boards. Why would Joel Grey lie about it though, if it's not true?

There are reasons I thought it was true and reasons I thought it wasn't...The only reason I was thinking it may be relatively true is because A) Joel Grey was quoted. But they could have easily taken that out of context. And besides, everyone has arguments once in awhile. and B) Because whenever they were interviewed they never said that they were friends, they always said they had a "great respect for each other."
But, all of the details about how Idina said she was "losing her best friend" and everything at the last show kind of makes me believe it isn't true. And at the Tony's Idina thanked Kristin personally and Kristin was blowing her kisses and everything. And haven't Kristin and Idina themselves said that there has been some rocky parts of this show? I hate rumors.
But also, how credible can a source be who cannot even spell Cheno's last name right? I mean really... its ChenowEth not ChenowIth.

What is Broadway? A street? Some say it's a street. Some say it is the best street in the world. Others think its terrible. That's the beauty of it, it's terribly beautiful. Some hate it and don't know why. Others love it and don't know why. That's what makes it so wonderful, it's a mystery.

I get what you're saying, but maybe Idina was just trying to maintain a sense of professionalism to her by thanking Kristin and giving the 7/18 curtain call speech.

i think that that article is stupid. why would they be sobbing, and hugging, when kristin and norbert left if they didn't get along? what would they do, act like they are upset?

who cares?
they wouldn't be the first co-stars who didn't get along all the time.
I'm just suprised Joel Grey was so candid.
Headline should have read "Witch Slapped"

I guess they ran out of new B.S. to make up about Britney Spears...

Thank you, Spooky.
Guys, it's normal to put on an act. They're actors. That's what they do on stage.
It wouldn't surprise me if they had their fights. The divas.

They've probably had their fights- I'm sure everyone has fought with someone. And it could be possible that Idina's Tony speech and curtain call 7/18 speech was just an act...or not.
Maybe they are friends. Maybe they hate each other. I don't see why it matters so much if they are or are not friends.

Exactly, Diva. Who cares how they felt about each other offstage, as long as they were professional enough to keep it offstage.

No, I haven't fought with my best friend since childhood, actually. That usually doesn't happen once you grow up.

This typical NY Post piece just proves one thing: The real bitch backstage at WICKED is Joel Grey.

Of course it's not true! How could these two Goddesses not like each other! I mean, c'mon, they were in Wicked! Everything about Wicked i perfect and Cheno & Idina were so nice when they signed my playbill the ninth time I saw it and finally got them when they weren't sneaking out PLUS when Idina thanked Cheno at the Tony's, I mean why would she thank her if they didn't get along??? It's not like they would pretend or anything, because we would know if that was true because they always break character every night and laugh onstage and have farting contests during Defying Gravity so they have to be bestest friends and Joel Grey is an idiot for saying that because he's the one who doesn't get along with anyone and DUH, yeah!

Considering she made three times more a week than Idina did, if any bit of it is true, then Cheno needs a serious reality check. And the fact that Cheno's rep replied in such a way that made Cheno sound like The Good One seems to corraborate the article.
Thankfully Idina continued to be the one true professional here, doing her best, through her lawyer anyway, not to let their personal issues be public and not ruin the persona of the two loving sisters.

Matt, your great
I believe that what Kellie was saying was true, both sides. I understand what everyone was saying but I do think that if you see someone six days a week and are doing the same thing with them up to two times a day you are going to get a little testy weather you are friends or not.

Trust me - stars making more money than the others in the cast does NOT make them better or more tolerant people just for that fact alone.

"Witch Slapped"! Hahah that's great.
True, not true, I don't know. Interesting I guess. It's funny, my mom asked me after watching and interview with them, "Don't you think they really hate eachother?" Sure, mother... I was giggling the entire time I read the article. I pictured-
Kristin's "friend": And then, she like totally slapped Kristen!
Joel: It so hurts to be hit.
KF: But she like, meant it and stuff.
Joel: And then they fought. I heard them. I was totally there.
What are we in, the 6th grade? I mean, that'd be fun but come on. It is odd Joel would speak out that way, so who knows. Even if they despised eachother, they were great on stage and the audience wasn't the wiser. It's their buisness if they had a problem....

I wasn't kidding and the two of them having farting contests onstage. They were known backstage as Terrance and Phillip.

I think everythingtaboo has hit the nail on the head.
Did you read Kristen's publicists response?
That's a very tense, tight response. It is certainly not the regular "They love each other and get along great" response we always get from press reps. It's a very telling statement cause of the way that it's phrased.
I thought they got along but after reading that statement....

If they really cant stand eachother, then Idina did a great job of acting during her Tony acceptance speech. They should have handed her a Tony and an Oscar !!!!
