Ouch, knew that this was going to happen.

#kinkyboots-If you wanna see kinkyboots, then go see it, but when NBC advertises this as a family show, and then throws this in your face!"
And my favorite:
"@NBCNews Kinky Boots is for adults that Choose to see the show. Not children. You Far left media with no belief in God are discussing."

Is is bad that I went off on someone on Twitter because of Kinky Boots?
Rw3 there is nothing wrong with that! I give props to Nbc for being inclusive! Btw wasn't Cheno a hot mess! I love her but that was the worst version of New York, New York ever!!! She sounded like Chris Colfer!

Wow, people are really pissed at Kinky Boots. It has been trending on Twitter for a long time now.
I wish those people shooting off on Kinky Boots directed those energies to the icky-ness of the SeaWorld float and performance.
Kristin's lip syncing was the worst. It was like she got off at the start and couldn't fix it.
Yes, that was the real Christiane Noll's tweet. Kind of surprising a little considering she is part of the Broadway community.

The only thing I object to about Christiane's post is that she retweeted a tweet from that dreadful "the craptacular".
True. It wasn't as bad as some others that were posted here. Just interesting.

I think Christiane was saying "I talked to my kids, they understood it, so what's the big deal?" At least that's the way I'm reading her response to that tweet.
Yeah, I'm guessing (or at least I'm hoping) that her tweet was more in jest and less in outrage. Especially considering she is tweeting a broadway related site (or whatever one classifies The Craptacular as).

As a hot mess, that's what.

Well, I certainly won't be watching The Sound of Music if Rolf is not blond and blue-eyed! Hmmmpf! Disgraceful casting!!
PS For the less informed and ready to pounce...it's satire. (Look it up)

My interesting convo with Christiane Noll in regard to her tweet. My twitter handle is sass_is_real. Follow me!
@christianenoll @thecraptacular Wow Christiane, considering you are a part of the Bway community that valiantly fights so hard for LGBTS
@christianenoll @thecraptacular So not a fan anymore
@sass_is_real @thecraptacular I think you misunderstood! My four year old was asking why the boys were wearing girl shoes and I ...
@sass_is_real @thecraptacular had to explain that the glamorous entertainers were boys too! They were singing about just being beautiful!
@sass_is_real @thecraptacular happy thanksgiving!!
So, yeah

I'm watching the CBS broadcast. I thought for a second there they were repeating the footage of "Cinderella" at the Tony Awards. I'm so used to the performances being held outside this threw me for a bit. I was also hoping for more involvement of the cast overall. No big dance sequence, but not being in NY it was nice to see the original staging with the fairy godmother flying around. It was a good performance though with no real hiccups.
Ah yes the holiday classic, "There aint no chimneys in the projects".

Hahaha, I saw that, and I was like "WTF? How depressing!"

"First Date" just finished on CBS (PST) and it was done at the Longacre. I remember seeing the show at the ACT and thought it was ok. Cute. Seeing this performance it left a lot to be desired. They did a medley of "The One" and "First Impressions."

It was a downer but sung as an upper. I liked it. It belongs in Vol. 2 of A John Waters Christmas album.
I LOVED Cinderella. Though I must admit I like Victoria Clarke better then Rebecca Luker (but I will have to see her in the role before I can say for sure). Motown is pretty awesome! Matilda was really cute (Not a fan of the musical, but still enjoyed it). Kinky Boots was great in my eyes. Though the lip-syncing could have been better (but that was a case with a lot of the shows that have performed over the years). Pippin was great- it was great to see Orin again!! Is he back in the show full time?
I don’t even know what was going on with Kristin Chenoweth. I agree, it was like, she missed the first word and just never got back on track. I hate to say it, but I would have rather had Liza out there… and that’s saying something. But I still love Kristin!

"So, "The Sound Of Music" kids couldn't perform due to the weather, but the MATILDA kids could? Those Austrians are such wooses!"
LOLOL...I think the idea is that Sound of Music is "one show one time" - LIVE and they didn't want to risk any kids getting sick because of the cold. If someone from Matilda gets a cold or gets sick, there are other performances and loads of alternates/ understudies.

The only problem I had with 'Kinky Boots' was that clothes were too revealing for a program that was "G" rated. In 'Hairspray', Edna Turnblad is a drag role, but there was nothing revealing about the clothing the character wore. I saw the tour of 'Cinderella' with Earth Kitt in 2001, where the Stepmother was played by a man, but again, the costumes were not inappropriate since it was a family-friendly musical. Paul Vogt played Ursula in the Muny production of 'The Little Mermaid', but there was nothing bad about what he wore since he was playing a big octopus.

^ Their costumes were less revealing than the Rockette leotards...
