Great on Bosom Buddies and Newhart. Never got to see him onstage.

Bronx Bombers was my first Broadway opening night, and he was really good as Yogi Berra. RIP.

He was one of the greats. Far too young. RIP Mr. Scolari.

Damn! Way too young!
I wasn't all that familiar with his work, but I was lucky enough to catch him onstage a few years ago in "The True" off-Broadway, which I guess was his final stage role? It was him onstage with the great Edie Falco and Michael McKean. The play was unextrordinary, I thought, and Scolari's role wasn't the most flashy. But he had a quiet groundedness to him that gave him a magnetic, imposing stage presence even up against Edie Falco, who's character was much more loud and active.

RIP.
He was hilarious on Newhart as Michael Harris. As well as during his Bosom Buddies early days.

What a loss! He was one of my dad's favorite actors, so it was a real treat when we got to see him in Wicked about five years ago, playing the role of the Wizard; I remember thoroughly enjoying his performance. May his memory be a blessing to those who knew and loved him!

so many people dying way too young of cancer, what a loss, fortunate to have seen him onstage four times in recent year including when he reteamed with Tom Hanks in Lucky Guy, that was special
