That's the case with the theatres in NYC, at least.
I got my ticket already. $20.00.

It's true in FL as well. Not sure I feel like shelling out $20 for a movie ticket to see RENT, really.

I think that it might be the same price for the show at every theater. I've checked 3 theaters that are in like a 50 mile radious that are showing it, and all the tickets are 20 bucks.

Mine is $20 as well. Think of it as a movie theater version of the lotto? And the fact that you're getting to see the final performance.

Obviously not, since YOU don't think so. Have you notified the producers yet so they can cancel the the whole thing?

Yep...$20 here in PA with a $2.50 processing fee. I just bought my ticket a few minutes ago. Honestly, I expected to pay more. I'm sure it will be well worth it. I'm looking forward to it.

It doesn't surprise me since it is a limited engagement, and it isn't a regular movie. They do it all the time for special events. I think to see the quarter finals of DCI, it was $18.

personally, i think they're expectations for the amount of people wanting to see this are too high. That...or they know not that many people are going to see it so they're trying to make up for it with ticket cost.
I mean...the Rent movie wasn't that commercially successful and something tells me (as the public will see it) the "second rent movie" won't have many people rushing to see it.
The ticket price is either a smart thing or a really stupid thing...we'll see. lol.

They'd be crazy to not release it on DVD since it's already filmed. I even bet they'll release Legally Blonde on DVD after the bway show closes.

I bet it won't be released until AFTER the tour.
