wow. I don't care if rent made the worst movie of the years list. It is still my favorite movie in the whole world. I doubt that I will ever witness anything even relitivly close to being as good as Rent was.

Why are some people on this board so offended by people's opinions being different from their own? OK, so that person happens to think that it is the best movie in the world. Who cares? I don't think it is, you don't think it is, but s/he does. That opinion actually bothers you that much that you have to post a comment like that?

The real question is: Will RENT be nominated for any Razzies? Can it beat AEON FLUX, YOURS, MINE AND OURS? THE FANTASTIC FOUR?

Jumping on the RENT bandwagon, I can say that for me, I enjoyed the film. Whereas when I saw it on stage in LA about 8 years ago, I would't have said that. The movie has made me want to see the stage version again! And, that's sayin' something cause I REALLY disliked it before...
