Posted: 12/3/18 at 8:55pmA $20 fee for a comp is gross. And I'm glad to see it hasn't sold out yet.

And it has now appeared in at least one papering service (no, not Showscore as mentioned above). I still can't bring myself to watch this though.

If anyone has an extra comp to this I'd be more than willing to come!!!
Ruben#279
Posted: 12/4/18 at 12:32amLmao. I thought MassiveMego said it was selling well!

I thought the pick-up lines video was cute.

ShowScore isn't a comp/papering service. They just get tickets at a group rate for their "members".

They do both actually and this is listed as a "member night" which is their category for comps, plus $20 is too low for a group rate.

Hmmmm....thanks for the info, AntV. I've never seen it worded that way. (or perhaps, just didn't understand that.)

Yes -- and the winner doesn't have to go and see it! ![]()

If by "lottery" you mean "a frantic handing-out of tickets to literally anybody passing by the theatre," then probably.

Is that what happened for Home for the Holidays last year? So you think for all performances people can just pass by 15 minutes before showtime and someone will be standing outside offering free tickets? Certainly don't want to pay $40 for 2 "free" tickets from some website.

I'm close to pulling the TDF trigger but I keep thinking there has to be a cheaper way.

Are you a member of any papering services? I might give those another look....

There are a lot of shows that use the Home for The Holidays title that has nothing to do with what played Broadway last year. Like I'm going to one on Saturday that Cyndi Lauper hosts every year to raise money for her True Colors organization. I'm sure it will be a much better evening too.

Wait, so MassiveMeGo went from furiously, stubbornly denying that there was any connection between the producers or team of this and Home for the Holidays to... claiming that Home for the Holidays still exists?
Ruben#297

HFTH may still exist but it isn't Clay & Ruben's show which is a 3 year deal with national touring for the next 2 years already being booked.

No theatre will invite them back next year, I can GUARANTEE that. With as much money your production is loosing I doubt it.
You havant even started shows, and tickets are being given away for 20 bucks.

That's not unusual to make discounted tickets available. Don't try to pretend its not standard except for the huge hits like Wicked or Phantom.
No point guaranteeing they won't be back next year. The contract is a 3 year deal. I already said. The next 2 years will be national tours.
