Not sure who the audience for this is in 2018... but okay.

Posted: 10/18/18 at 12:11pmI don't get these Holiday shows. No one visiting NY is going to pick Clay Aiken over a real broadway show. I wonder how cheap tickets are gonna be, 12 or 13 dollars?

As someone who just listened to Josh Groban's new album and commented that his "Bridge Over Troubled Water" cover was not as good as Clay Aiken's, yes! I will see this, but not at full price

Now I wanna see a David Cook and David Archuleta reunion show on Broadway ...I'd totally pay full price for that

Tickets from $99 to $229.
This is no "Home For The Holidays".

People complain about the Disneyfication of Broadway, about Broadway turning into Vegas... but jeez, this is straight-up Branson, Missouri, level stuff.

I just went to Telecharge to look at prices, and they're starting at $39, not $99.

And just like Home from the Holidays they started at those prices but quickly dipped once no one was going.

Come December, they'll be paying people to come see it.
Ruben#16
Posted: 10/18/18 at 1:17pmIm telling you now, no one is going to pay those prices. They will drop.

I don't think anyone is disagreeing with you. Except SOME people will purchase - just not enough.

Don't buy a ticket to this, just wait until they're desperately handing out comps.
Who puts up the money for things like this to happen and why do they need a tax write off that badly?

I'm very much here for Clay Aiken's slow evolution into Martin Short as Jack Frost. Dear God, someone please take away his bleaching supplies.

The NAME of the piece sounds like a self-aware, vaguely satirical look at these sorts of variety shows, but we'll see if the CONTENT is equally winking.

And it wouldn't be Broadway without it! At least these two names will provide a bigger draw than Home for the Holidays did. This one may even beat Home for the Holidays' highest weekly gross potential of 6.19%, though they might need a "Youtube Sensation" to get them there.

Excellent idea, considering the show is raising money to help disabled children... siiiigh.
"The duo also aims to give back with tickets benefiting the National Inclusion Project, the leading voice for the inclusion of children with disabilities."
Very much enjoyed Clay's Christmas album and his holiday concerts a million years ago, love the brotherly/teasing relationship that they (at least publicly) share and love that proceeds are helping kids. I'm looking forward to this. I think it should be a fun time.

I'd rather just give money to disabled children then sit through this and I think you'll find most people will feel the same way.
